5 Below Bargains
A 5 Below store recently opened in Cranberry, PA, and I was rather impressed with some of the bargains that they had available. The gist of the store is that everything is within the $1-5 price range. Here's what I found, YMMV:
Blu-Ray: - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix HD-DVD/DVD: - 300 - Justice League: New Frontier - The Reaping - The Invasion - Evan Almighty DVD: - Best of She-Ra (2 Disc Set with Secret of the Sword) - New Adventures of He-Man (Volume 1) - Defenders of the Earth (Volume 1) - Shrek the Third - Madagascar - Clerks II - Evan Almighty - Apocolypto - Snow Day - TMNT - Golden Compass - MISC Sponge-Bob DVDs - How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer - Frosty the Snowman - The Rudolph and Frosty movie I know they had quite a few more, but I can't recall everything they had available. They also had a decent selection of Game Boy Advance games and a couple XBox/XBox 360 games. Here's their official website. |
Re: 5 Below Bargains
The Franklin Mills Mall, PA store has the two-disk DVD versions of Batman (1989), Seven, and Enter the Dragon for $5 each. Also Jackie's Chan's Police Story, although the UPCs are gouged.

Re: 5 Below Bargains
Very minor $5 DVD update in Jersey. Biggest titles are Forbidden Kingdom (holo slipcover 2-disc w/digital copy) and Shaun of the Dead.

By any chance was Seven the version in a snapper case?
It's unlikely to still be there by this point--it's disappeared from the NJ stores that I've recently visited. |
Re: 5 Below Bargains
I just picked up the Toho Masters edition of All Monsters Attack and Terror Of MechaGodzilla yesterday.
|
Re: 5 Below Bargains
The Forbidden Kingdom (2-Disc Edition), Shaun Of The Dead, & Coraline (2D/3D edition) just showed up in my local stores.

Rambo 2-disc with (likely expired) Digital Copy Heat 2-disc V for Vendetta 2-disc He's Just Not That Into You The Next Avengers Steve Martin 3-disc Triple Feature (L.A. Story, All of Me, and Novocaine, in a single amaray) Rules of Engagement Season One |
Re: 5 Below Bargains
Have they ever had any Blu-rays besides Superman Returns?
|
Re: 5 Below Bargains
The good news: Inside the Cherry Hill, NJ store is a rack with about two dozen $5 Criterion DVDs.
The bad news is that every single one is Chasing Amy. Still, hopefully there'll be more to come. They appear to be Canadian copies (Alliance Atlantis logo), and they're definitely not in every store. |
Re: 5 Below Bargains
Spotted two new $5 Blu-rays at the Freehold, NJ store:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Terminator Salvation Both have English/French covers and expired digital copies. YMMV as always--I've visited another Five Below that didn't have these. |

Clifton, NJ Five Below has Oceans 13 Blu ray now. Sold out of Harry Potter 6 and Terminator Salvation.

Re: 5 Below Bargains
The selection doesn't change too much at the ones near me and I've never seen a blu-ray title in the mix. Never, dang it.

Re: 5 Below Bargains
Only thing I can comment on recently seeing is The Dark Knight 2-Disc in limited mask packaging, which might have been the Target exclusive with an extra 3rd(digital copy) disc, since I think it had the target sticker on it. At this point might the DC might even be expired though.
