The Wizard of Oz BD is the 3 disc version correct (everything minus the UCE box and non-disc based material)?

If the Gone with the Wind BD is a 2 disc version of the UCE I'll be happy (third disc is just a repeat of the The Wizard of Oz disc 3).

Me too. I'm eyeing on those two very keenly.

Sadly it is not....only a 1-disc with just the movie and an audio commentary track....

That's too bad about the Gone with the Wind release. Thanks for the info on both.

It's the exact same cover art as the 3-disc, and afaik the only other edition Target carries is the UCE.

It's not 100% verified, but it seems likely.

Prebuying is necessary precisely in order to secure stock. I'm interested in a couple Friends seasons that I couldn't get at Big Lots to complete the series. Unless they get more inventory for BF, my Target has had a few copies of each season for the last couple months. All 2 or 3 copies of each season will be long gone before I get there.

EDIT: Just read you say that Target does not do PM'ing during BF, so if prebuying does no good and we know they'll have too few copies in stock, I guess people will be playing hide & seek.

My Target didn't PM on BF, but others say they do. YMMV, but securing stock is the safest way.

Guess I'll be heading to Target to check out what other $8.99/$12.99 BD's they have. It may be my first stop.

Or does Target have special rules that apply to Black Friday ads?

There may be an official rule about this, but individual stores tend to act differently, as they see fit (unfortunately). Most Targets tend to let people price match, otherwise they would just buy the sets cheap on that Friday, walk to the CS counter and pull out the receipt from the previous purchase and return it. However, the last few years Targets were instructed Sunday or Monday of Thanksgiving week to pull all copies of DVDs/CDs/Games, etc of items that were in their BF ad and store them in back until Friday morning, to ensure they have a lot of stock on those. That may be something to keep in mind.

There goes my idea of hiding BDs the night before in the diaper section this year. I'll have to rethink my strategy.

The only problem here is the Wizard of Oz. I dropped $35 plus tax on that bad boy. I'd love to buy it again at this price and return with the old receipt (well within my 90 days, obviously). Amazon doesn't sell this version, though. Looks like Target is going to have to be one of my stops on Friday. (I suppose the same can be said for Gone With The Wind, as Amazon doesn't have a 1-disc version available yet either.)

Nice prices on the House sets.

Not much for video games.

I'll probably get the Disney/Pixar movie UP & Season 4 of House.

I'm waiting to see what Best Buy will have for their Sale.

I don't want to have to drag out and brawl with people to get GWTW and Wiz o' Oz on BD for $13. I'm really hoping Amazon does what they did last year and PMs all the BF deals (and surpasses some) allowing me to order everything from them and stay in bed.

I have to ask why you wouldn't use the Up coupon which is valid until this Saturday? You should be able to get the Blu-Ray/DVD combo of Up for $9.99 + tax. As opposed to paying $13 for the DVD only. Even if you didn't want the Blu-Ray...you'd be paying $3 more.

I don't think it'll be that big of a problem for most people. The Target stores in my area are the only ones that seem to be really well stocked on Black Friday. I've never waited in line, I've gone in an hour or so after opening and there was always tons of stock on the DVDs in the ad.

Or better yet, use the four different available coupons and get both the Up and Monsters, Inc. DVD/BD combos for a dollar total.
