I should have been clearer in my post.

I definitely make use of dvdpricesearch (it is actually the first thing I check after signing online to see if there are any great deals to be had), and value low price over immediate delivery. I meant to convey that in the past, DDD had the lowest prices and in my personal experience, I only had to do a random sample or survey of dvds I was interested in to confirm this before ordering. During their twice a year sale, they were always the absolute best price on anything I was interested in. Now even during the sale, there are better prices to be found (for me Amazon seems to fit that, even after being charged tax) and I have to check every item I want to purchase to be sure it is the lowest, as opposed to being able to place one order from one store (DD in this case). Some are indeed cheaper on DD, and some are more expensive, which continues to surprise me. I am still in the mind set, as another poster referenced, that you could do that price check thing in price search and DD would always be at the top.

I was thinking about getting another order next week but they don't have the main stuff I want. I don't see Funny People listed yet for pre order and They don't have the WWE Survivor Series anthologies or the new Hulk Hogan dvd set. In fact, they only have 26 wwe dvds listed on their site right now. What gives ?

I've still not ordered any DVDs. I have my eye on a couple that, after a coupon, will be worth an order, but it's annoying to not be able to just put everything on one order.

But considering the $5 coupons can be used on $25 CD orders it looks like I'll not purchase DVDs this time as it's the first time CDs are truly on sale.

Thanks for posting this, I was hoping somebody would confirm a code that worked. I tried this yesterday, but no credit for me. People are reporting that the credit is instant. It's a mystery why people are having different outcomes.
I would tend to think it is on bing's end. It's only $3.00, but when you go to the time and trouble, it is super annoying that it does not go through.

I have used bing before and my computer settings are just fine.

Same here, but I have two orders with NO credit from Monday and yesterday. I used one coupon code that was reported as receiving cashback from bing with it's use. People are reporting that the credit is instant, so I do not think that bing is behind. I remember from last summer that I got the bing cashback right away. I tend to think that it is on bing's end that it is not going through, although bing cannot pay us, unless the credit comes from DD.

I guess it could also be that DD paid the commission in error to bing for the folks that did get credit, if DD is really not paying commission based on the sale and the use of a coupon.

It sure is a mystery and super annoying, everyone should have the same results, especially if they are familiar with bing and their computer settings are in check, etc.

Even without the bing cashback, it was still a good deal, but after taking the time and trouble to use bing, I want my aprox $3.00 cashback!

Please let us know how you made out with bing CS, if you get a chance and thanks

Placed two orders yesterday, one for season 4 and one for season 5 of Queer As Folk, using a coupon for each, bringing the price down to $24.97 - exactly 50% off MSRP.

Oh - I went through Bing, and indeed a Bing credit of $1.20 (based on the pre-coupon price) showed up within a matter of minutes for each order.

Aah, Todd. I broke down and bought a ton of his CDs from HMV Japan in mini paper sleeves during a terrific sale earlier this year. Not as cheap as $3.40 but they were under $10 a pop.

As for this sale, I did break down and ordered the Blu of The Prisoner. A very good deal it was for a day. I normally order so much more, though. I'm not complaining, however, as I still got a nice price on something I wanted.

Do any of you know what has happened to DD? They had a ton of WWE wrestling DVDs before the sale and now the are almost non-existent...this is really sad.

In the past, whenever DD has had their 20/25% off coupon sales (now replaced with this 40% off MSRP non-coupon sale), there have been some publishers who did not participate, and they would remove their titles from their site while the sale as going on....I remember hearing this was the case with a couple of anime labels....
Anyway, maybe the WWE titles are just not participating in this sale? They probably still carry them and they will return to the site once the sale has ended....

I placed an order early in the week for Spectacle: Elvis Costello With...: Season One (Blu-ray). The padded envelope from DD arrived today with The Killing Fields (DVD).

The woman at customer service was very nice and immediately e-mailed a postage paid return label, but they are still holding my Blu-ray set until I return the incorrect DVD. I'm not too happy about having to wait on media mail both ways because of their mistake. She also said there would be a credit and a new charge on my credit card. I just hope they credit me the right amount and apply my coupon to the new charge.
