Thanks for the $5. Just ordered Doctor Who: The War Games for $24.97, or what it would have cost had there been sale with 25% off their regular prices.

I wish I would've known about this $5 coupon before I placed my order Thursday night.
Anyway, I got my package today and the secret prize was something called Buzzerks, a pair of sunglasses that act like bug eyes. Lame. Maybe my little nephew will like it.

For those of you that used the first coupon code, here's another coupon code for $5 off of $25 that can be used for a second purchase (or your first if that's the case).

I got a $5 code by email after I ordered the Prisoner. I guess it's one time use? It's different from what lanemyer74 posted.

So was I, but for $35 - the next closest is Best Buy at $49.99 and then Amazon at $51.49. I have heard too many good things about this show to pass up at a great price. Besides, I will share this with my dad as well (who was going to buy it).
I was also going to get Farscape, but with BB being the same after tax as DD, I will go locally on that one (where I also got John Adams on blu).
Now...Homicide is so very tempting as well....but that one I think I can hold off on.

I agree. While I appreciate their past sales, I don't get the mentality that some people have here where they seem to act like DD was doing everyone a favor by offering 20-25% off previously. After having spent several thousands of dollars with them previously, I don't feel like I "owe" them anything for them offering sales previously. If it doesn't make financial sense to their company to offer 20-25% off sales anymore, that's their decision, but it sucks for the rest of us who have relied on that and waited several months or a year before buying items that we wanted because of the DD sale. I hope that they will revert back to their old ways but, if not, I don't feel like I owe it to them to buy things at a comparable or higher price just because they've offered much better deals in the past.
On the other hand, DD is not obligated to continue offering those sales to customers either, especially if their business model shows that they can be more profitable with a different pricing model. Some people on this Board have acted as if DD has betrayed their friendship or loyalty in some way by discontinuing the 25% sale.
I will still buy from DD when they have the best price. I will still buy from DD when the cheaper alternative is someone of questionable reliability. I will still buy from DD if there isn't a huge differential in price and the convenience factor makes it worth the difference. If I don't, I wish them no ill will. They haven't cheated me or ripped me off. They're in business to make money and I wish them well, because if they go out of business, other online retailers are more likely to be less competitive in their pricing.

I got the code from a forum I visit frequently, it wasn't emailed to me. But it seems like these codes are not unique & exclusive to individual buyers. If there's more codes out there, share the wealth & post them on here for those that would like to make multiple purchases!

Sweet! I was hoping another code would show up. On a small order, these effectively bring costs in line with the previous sales.
Now I just have to decide between the Columbia Film Noir set or The Prisoner.
65% off of the Prisoner is very tempting, but I've got about 75 other TV sets backlogged. The films in the Noir set might be easier to get thru sooner which would be a better value in my mind.
hmmm...

When I add some things to my wish list I sometimes get:
Inventory: Ships directly from the manufacturer.
What does that mean (aside from the obvious)?

anyone else noticing some prices that haven't been adjusted for today's releases (or in general)? Want to pick up the Lionsgate horror "Train" released today...should be $16.17 (40% off $26.95), but is $22.87. What gives?
...EDIT: I e-mailed them, and they changed it. Whoo hoo!

Not sure. One of the items I ordered was listed that way. According to DD, it's being shipped with the rest of my DVDs.

Man, the day after each I placed each of my two orders from this sale, Amazon matched the prices. First Ghost in the Shell 2.0 BD, PMed to $14.99, then Fawlty Towers, PMed to $24.49.
Amazon has spies everywhere.

I've seen this several times. Usually VCI and Timeless Media titles. Items always ship from DDD with the other stuff. My best guess is that DDD don't actually stock these titles. If someone orders one, they turn around and order one, and then pass it along.

Thanks to everyone who's been posting the '$5 off $25' coupon codes!
So far, I've ordered Dogma & An American in Paris for $20.27,
and The Devil Wears Prada & Sex and Death 101/Heathers for $21.22
BTW, the Sex and Death 101/Heathers double-feature is available for pre-order for only $14.68 at DeepDiscount, $4 less than at Amazon.
