I will try but their anime selection pales in comparison to DD. So I would only get five or so dvds.

I'm deabating if i'll take the plunge into DD. I want to send a message i'm not buying but money is burning a whole in my pocket. Also they do have a few dvds I can't find in store...hm.

Absolutely nothing on my wish list is any cheaper there than at amazon on any given day (in fact most are cheaper at amazon) except for Farscape the complete series so..

I will buy Farscape and be on my way.

I thought that I was going to be disappointed at missing the DD sale for the first time because I've been out of work for over 4 months. Now I know that I wouldn't have bought anything anyway!

I got an email for the sale, but I don't think they've changed prices for all their products yet. I checked the price on a CD, and the 30% still hadn't come off. I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow.

I compared the printout of my wishlist with the current prices. No change on *any* CDs yet. 50-60% of the DVDs are less than a dollar cheaper with only a small handful being about the same price as they'd be if this were 25% off as in the past. Those are the only titles I'll be ordering this time.

There are some titles that are not reflecting a price change, with some things still being more than 40% off, and some being less than so.

Two days ago the list price for Alan Parsons CD's was $7.98...and DD's price was $7.97. Now today they are list-price of $8.98 - boo on them for that change! --Peter

And supposedly 30% off all books, but "A Very Long Engagement" is $13.50 (instead of MSRP of $15). As a long-time supporter of their sales semi-annual sales (dating back at least five or six years), this is definitely nothing to get excited about (except the Homicide Complete Series for $59.99 I pointed out earlier). --Peter

Probably not part of the sale, but DeepDiscount lists Tuesday's release of Farscape: The Complete Series for $74.38 (half the $149.99 price tag)...which makes it $25 cheaper than Amazon's current pre-order price.

Well looking at my sparse wishlist, I believe the movies are a little bit cheaper but I cannot remember what they were originally.

Simpsons S12 Comic Book Guy Head packaging and Family Guy Volume 7 are $15.97. While no $12.99 that Target had a few weeks ago it it still cheaper than most places right now. And the new National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation DVD Box is $23.98 while I have seen it in stores for $30.

Came here to post basically the same findings (including the Simpsons Book Guy Head price). Everything in my wish list was less than before the sale, and mostly more than 40% off MSRP, but not as good as the traditional 20-25% off sales. So I don't know how their sale prices are being figured.
