Are there any new valid coupons?

This is embarrassing for Deep Discount. I've bought something from their bi-annual sales every time for a few years now but 40% of MSRP? Are you fucking kidding me DD? Amazon's (and other dvd selling site's) regular prices still beat that. Clear evidence that Deep Discount is struggling.

I think for people that don't know any better it's more appealing. There's still some decent deals to be had if you look enough.

After the $5 off coupon I was able to get the Samuel Fuller set for a full $15 cheaper than it is anywhere else online. Same with the Columbia Noir set. The Michael Haneke set is $20 cheaper after the coupon (and $35 cheaper than Amazon's price.) Even a lot of the lower MSRP items that are high on my wishlist - "Boy A" and "Lemon Tree" and "How to Be a Man" and "Model Shop" - are a few dollars cheaper than they are anywhere else online. It's not the ULTIMATE sale that is used to be, but it's not an embarrassment either. There are still some very good deals to be found.

All of the titles I've ordered have actually been cheaper than they would be during a 25% off sale, but that's due to the coupons.

Well I'm in the process of upgrading some of my titles to Blu-ray and was excited to hear that they are 40% off...little did I know at the time that they meant MSRP. Every title I've searched on the site I can get far cheaper on Amazon.

I know this isn't the best sale ever but, c'mon. Amazon just so happens to be running Blu-ray sale during these holiday shopping months. They're not gonna have all those $10 Blu-rays forever. It's just unfortunate for DD that a competitive sale came along at the same time.

So buy where you are getting the best price. What's the big deal? Those postings deals here is because they got the best price in this sale. Are we suppose to go over in the Amazon thread and complain that Amazon's price for what we want is too high?

The reality is that according to the DVD search engine. Amazon has the best deal on over 9400 titles and DD on over 24,000 titles. No reason to complain one way or another, just buy where you get the best deal.

I think the codes put this sale into the "good" category.

I purchased:

This is Spinal Tap
Princess Bride
V: The Mini Series

for $22.00

Waiting For Guffman
Best in Show
Susan Boyle's new CD (Hey, don't judge. :D )

for $22.00

and Bonanza First Season Volumes 1 and 2 (separate orders) for $44.00

All of those orders are cheaper than what I would have gotten thru Amazon, thanks to the codes listed here.

None of the codes work on the first page! This seriously needs to be updated.

You know if you bought Bonanza packaged together and used 1 coupon it would have cost about a dollar less?

I got "Waiting for Guffman" "For Your Consideration" and "A Mighty Wind" at Amazon's current sale for $5.79 each. I was going to suggest you may have been better off getting your two titles above over there, but I noticed that for some reason, they have "Best In Show" priced at $13.99, not $5.79 like the other Christopher Guest films. (plus you would need to spend more than $25 to get free shipping).

I did order "For Your Consideration" last night from Amazon, and I already own "A Might Wind". Thanks for your help, tho. :)

I wonder why "Best in Show" is so much more than the other Guest films on Amazon? It's a whole $6 less on DD ($7.98).

The package I bought, with the code, brought the Susan Boyle CD price down $2 (and I was going to buy that regardless of the price).

Oh, and I have Amazon Prime, so shipping isn't an issue for me. I'm on a three month trial right now, but when that expires, I fully plan on purchasing a membership. The perks are awesome!

I've placed 3 orders-The Films of Michael Powell-Collector's Choice & Merle Haggard-Live from Austin, TX '78; Exposed & Willie Nelson-Live from Austin, Texas; Wandering Ginza Butterfly & Waylon Jennings-Live From Austin, Texas. Each order was just over $25, and it seems only the first coupon listed is expired.

I don't expect that I'll order as much as in previous sales, but the coupons made for an additional 20% off. The Barnes & Noble Criterion sale and several Amazon sales are better for those items, but there are good deals at DeepDiscount and DVD Planet if you take the time to do your homework. It's not a lot of effort to check prices.

All of the Bds I've ordered in this sale have been cheaper than Amazon or anywhere else. On top of that, if you order in groups of two Bds, you can use the $5 off coupons, and Amazon charges NYS sales tax- so the final, net cost is actually quite a bit more at Amazon for many things

just one example:
The General- DD/$18.38 (sale price less 1/2 of $5)
Amazon/$22.75(w/tax)

If it wasn't for the 5 off 25 codes, I wouldn't be making hardly any orders, this actually makes it more like the past 25% off sales if making separate small orders.
Yesterday I used:
FLNHEICBBA - $5 off $25 or more - applied 11/22
L78Z5TW1YY - $5 off $25 or more - applied 11/22
LTPVNY3FX8 - $5 off $25 or more - applied 11/22
but the code below did not work...
N4V24RVDNH - $5 off $25 or more - didn't work!?

I just picked up Spectacle Season 1 on Blu-ray and the price was WAY cheaper than Amazon before the $5 off coupon. I wish I had access to this Amazon you do.

FYI, I think the first code is dead: N4V24RVDNH.

I used the next 2 and they still worked though.
