Thanks for the $5 Coupon code. I ordered the "Watchmen - The Ultimate Cut" for #25.XX. We will see if they get them back into stock as they are back-ordered right now.

^ Those are all the coupons I'm aware of. Hopefully some more $5 coupons will pop up before the sale ends... Or hopefully not, since I've already spent over $500 between this sale and the Barnes and Noble sale.

So far, I've ordered the Michael Haneke collection from DVD Planet for $54.97 (after the $5 off coupon) and the rest from DeepDiscount:

Samuel Fuller Collection - $42.97 (after coupon)
Columbia Noir V. 1 - $30.97 (after coupon)
Ballast (Blu-ray) $20.97
The General (Blu-ray) - $20.97
Black Rain - $14.97
Johnny Got His Gun - $11.97
Husbands - $11.97

so, its this just DD, or is DP also having a sale? I hear people talking about DP in here, but the prices looked normal there.

Ordered Garry Shandling for 75.68 plus 4% bing...don't think I'll beat that in a long time (I hope). Thanks for the coupon codes...that made the decision easier.

Who else here is ignoring this sale for the 50% off Criterions at Barnes and Noble? I just don't see the deals, even with the coupons and even for titles outside Criterion.

You'd think there would be a couponcabin code for DVDs on DD.

I got my Homicide and Pete and Pete S2 today. The HOTSTUFF free gift I got was a Black Light Studio, looks like something I can regift.

The prices are discounted from the normal DVDPlanet prices as well, so yeah, they're taking part also.

Well...most likely this is the wrong thread to ask who is ignoring the sale since if they are ignoring it, why post. Of the people posting I would say most are getting between 40% - 60% off on their purchases.

Not everyone has the same wish list. Obviously, the deals must not be there for whatever you are looking for, but they are for some of us. Personally, I'm ignoring the 50% sale off Criterions at Barnes and Noble. There is nothing there of interest for me right now.

By Black Light Studio do you mean this?

Because I would much rather have this than $5 off with code.

There are deals....for some. It is just not a "free for all" like usual. I have spent over $300. Some of the really good deal below

Gomer Pyle Complete Series $$77.50
Fastlane Complete Series $15.83
Homicide Life on the Streets Complete series $59.99

How can I tell they are a good deal.....just check auctions that have ended on eBay, that will tell you what kind of deal it is. eBay ended auctions is the aftermarket bell weather, beat that price, and you have a bargain, IMO of course.

Of course the way I collect DVD's is probably much, much different than most, LOL.

The search results on DVD Planet may not reflect the discounted prices. Click-through the search results to see the actual price of the movies.

I placed an order before I realized there were new $5 codes available. Wonder how successful I'll be if I try to cancel and then re-place with a $5 code?

N4V24RVDNH is now coming up as expired. I just added it to my cart, and it worked fine. I was browsing for a few titles, and suddenly it says it is expired. I can't re-add it to my cart either.

It's $34.70 for the DVD, not the Blu-Ray. A search for prisoner complete in DVDs will show it on the first page.

Unfortunately for those wanting the tangible extras from the 40th Anniversary Megaset:

Off topic, but why the heck couldn't they have used the new blu-ray transfer on the DVD release? Would have taken, what, 5 hours of compression on a workstation?

Would have bought it.

Yes, but Deep Discount randomly gives out the free gifts. Someone in this thread got a deck of cards.
