They are solid imagination films. That is to say if you have a healthy imagination you will love them. If you are the person who needs every effects perfect; CGI that is photo realistic; then no, this DVD isn't for you.

These films were shot for real; man in suit, puppet dinosaurs, and minatures.

Both of these qualify under John Campea four rules for a remake.

1) The original has to have a good story... yes both flicks have a tale to tell.

2) Majority of current audience hasn’t seen the original... most true.

3) Original has to be at least 20 years old... TLTMF was made in 1975 and TPTTF in 1977.

4) The story would benefit from a modern telling... hell yes.



My only gripe is that "The Land That Time Forgot" is bare bones minus the trailer. The UK release is a minor special edition; featurette and gallery.
