While I am at the counter I tell the guy I'm going to inspect the discs before I make a purchase and they never have a problem with it.

I just buy them sealed up, inspect them at home, & play the ones that look questionable. All have played OK so far, so I just keep them.

Lucky you. I'm always told I cannot. The only place I could get away with that is the BB near my work since I'm friends with the manager but so far I haven't wanted to purchase any TV sets from there.

Blockbuster really needs to get more competitive on their used/previously rented BD prices....they have been running that same "2 for $25 deal" for like a year now, while the new prices of many BDs have fallen....I always laugh when I go into my local store and see titles you can buy NEW at Walmart or Amazon for $10 or under that Blockbuster is still trying to get $12.50 for used...

Blockbuster has a 30-day 'satisfaction guaranteed' warranty on all their previously viewed media. Of course, when it comes to a TV series where they most likely are only selling one or two copies, I don't know what they would do if one was badly scratched and wouldn't play.

Thats kind of BS considering they have a 30 day guarentee.. I guess its possible that they don't want you to come back with slightly scratched disc or something... But whats to stop you from buying it, looking at them in the parking lot, then bringing the damaged one(s) back in 3 min later... I see virtually no difference in doing that vs. inspecting them at the counter.. I would challenge them next time.
