Just picked up a Christmas title for $2 at a Galena Park BL (Tx) - Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus - the one with Steve Guttenberg & Crystal Bernard.

It was the only one I could find. Thought there might be a display somewhere, but counldn't find one. Was there a $2 Christmas titles display recently that I missed? Or, was it part of another "mixed" display?

SoCal finally got the Warner shipment. Picked up a whole bunch at the Huntington Beach store on Magnolia. Plenty of Clint Eastwoods, John Waynes, Boris Karloff, Sinatra and other classics. Also picked up The Unbearable Lightness of Being 2 Disc Special ED.

There were about 4 of the Kingdom Hospital sets, about a dozen of the Bond box sets, and about 6 copies of a "Mob Box" which contained Bugsy, Snatch, Donnie Brasco, and American Gangster (the documentary, not the Denzel movie.) Believe they were asking $15 for it.

Also, at this story the War at Home complete series set has reached Joey level proportions. There's been a dozen or so sad copies there looking for a home for months.

"War at Home" was actually a good show, well-written and quite funny, very similar to "Grounded for Life". Would love to see a dvd release for season 2, but I dount it will ever happen.

Surprised to find "The New World" also Steve Martin double feature My Blue Heaven & Man w/ 2 Brains.. Also had Pennies from Heaven, but it was slashed. P.O. that I didn't pick it up when it was in the Warner unslashed lot.

My local BL hasn't had crap for weeks, and my next nearest BL had so many I tired of trying to look through them all. I had a few titles in mind but couldn't find any of them. With the recent BDs at Target being $5 after coupon I may completely give up on SD DVDs. I figure BDs will be $5 or less at BL in a couple of years and I have over 1200 SD DVDs I could watch until then.

finally found a copy of the extended version (17 min longer) of "the missing" with Tommy Lee Jones, been looking for the extended version for awhile but only been finding the theatrical cut. also found a copy of "Cable Hogue" to add to my growing Sam Peckinpah collection (Wild Bunch and Pat Garrett found recently at big lots, Alfredo Garcia found used at blockbuster for $3.99)
