Nice! Thanks! Impressive that it's good for an entire week.

I really thought these would go the way of the dodo with the Buzz Club incentive program.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Decent haul today (Idaho Falls, Idaho) but it looked like I missed the boat as the selection was about half gone (I usually go once a week so this shipment has only been out for probably three or four days):

Safe Men
The Nude Bomb (Maxwell Smart)
Riverworld (SciFi channel)
Bean the Movie
Backbeat

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Picked up a few yesterday including some titles I havn't seen posted yet:
Road to Singapore 1940 (the first of the series) already have Road to Zanzibar (1941)
The Road to Morocco (1942) Someone reported the 4th was out there. Road to Utopia (1946).
Also picked up Now Voyager (Bette Davis) that I don't think I've seen listed before.
And a new Hitchcock title to add to the list Mr and Mrs Smith 1941

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Small Warner batch at Pearl Street Tacoma, WA. Some new, some restocks. A few new titles I found of interest: Bullets or Ballots, Adam's Rib, Mary Of Scotland, Roger & Me, Angels in The Outfield (original), My Favorite Wife, Mr & Mrs Smith, Here's Looking at Warner Brothers, Prince & The Showgirl, the Private Lives of Elizabeth & Essex. No Space Ghost boxes, grr!

I do have to admit, while i usually defend cutouts, the slices going to down the entrie length of the back cover are unnecessary & really tacky. Mind you, that's Warner's doing, not BL.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Scored the following at the Santa Clara, CA BL yesterday:

Backbeat (a must for Beatles fans)
Bingo Long & Traveling All Stars
Bedtime for Bonzo
Love Me Tender (last one- plenty of Kissin' Cousins)
Breakfast Club (WS)
Inside Deep Throat (NC-17)
The Nude Bomb (one of the worst movies ever made)
Cape Fear '62
Torn Curtain
Mad Max (decades)

Blind buys: (reviews welcome)
The Man Who Wasn't There (Coen Bros.)
Never Get Outa the Boat
A Home At The End Of The World

Also picked up at the San Jose (White Rd.) BL:
The Sci Fi Guys
NBC news: Last Days of Jesus

Saw some Hitchcocks (Sabotuer,), Lewtons, Cagneys,

Today picked up the following at the Campbell, CA BL:
Memphis Belle
Lost In America (Albert Brooks)

Saw:
Prince & the Showgirl (Marilyn Monroe)

Still looking for:
Marnie
Illustrated Man

They (Campbell store) had several boxes unopened that hadn't had security tags put on them- guess I'm going back next week with my 20% off coupon!

Thanks to everyone for posting their finds and giving us a heads up on the latest waves of $3 treasures!

I feel very fortunate to have 6 Big Lots within 20 min. drive of my home or 5-10 min. from one of my worksites. It's interesting how some stores get large, multilevel displays (Santa Clara), some got single level "Holiday" displays (White Rd.), and others (Campbell) got a few boxes with trays to put on shelves.

Those are the only four I have seen also. They are ringing up as "Chick Flicks." Although I wouldn't call Mad Max a chick flick. I guess they are part of a Valentine's Day assortment. Other DVDs that had the "chick flick" UPC (550016671) included The Sandlot, Never Been Kissed, Pieces of April, and Easy Money.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Ding dong, the bitching is dead!

Thanks to all the fervent prayers of my fellow DVDTalkers, the Niles, IL store FINALLY emerged from the abyss and came out with some titles that others have been finding for the past 25 years. Was there last night, but didn't buy anything so I could come back this morning and use the coupon. Between last night and this morning they did add new titles, so they are restocking at night. Picked up:

MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY (1935)
DANCE, GIRL, DANCE
KNUTE ROCKNE
KINGS ROW
GARBO SILENTS
CIMMARON (1960)
ADVISE AND CONSENT
ZIEGFELD FOLLIES
HOLIDAY AFFAIR (1947)
FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED
CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN/TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA (Dbl. Feature)
THE DON IS DEAD

Also saw various other WB titles including the two disc EASTER PARADE, a JOHN WAYNE four movie set, BATTLEGROUND (with a full length slit on the back), the great, virtually unknown Christmas movie IT HAPPENED ON 5th AVENUE and others that have already been posted in this thread. Plus a handful of Universal releases including LOVER COME BACK and WAR ARROW. Not sure those two have been mentioned yet.

But so far no HARPER, ILLUSTRATED MAN, WHITE HEAT, et al. Let the new bitching begin!

I went to BL this morning; DVDs are very, very picked over from the previous week. Most of my purchases with the 20% off coupon was actually on non-DVD stuff!
