Re: Ralph's Supermarkets DVD Blowout (some same titles as Big Lots)
I went to my local Ralph's and got TMNT Season 5. I got an extra copy for trade if anyone can get me either Veronica Mars S1 or S2. On that note--should there be a separate trading trade for Ralph's/Krogers? Or should we just keep it in the Big Lots Trade thread?
Besides that I didn't see anything else. I'm going out tomorrow to see if any other Ralph's near my area that yields anything worthwhile.
Update:
I just came back from the store and got Superman TAS V2 and Veronica Mars S1. I also saw Looney Tunes Collections V4, Full House S1 & S4, and Wildfire S4. They were all priced at $7.99, which I thought was a rip off (I guess I got spoiled by Big Lots).
It seems the pricing on the HD-DVDs aren't consistant with every store. I bought Land of the Dead for $3.99 and saw it at another branch for $5.99--so watch out for that.

These were all 50% with club card at my local Kroger-owned Smiths. I got Tracey Takes on S2 for $4, Dan In Real Life for $3 and Buffalo Bill S1&2 for $4.

Still haven't seen any of these at my local Kroger store. At least with this potential deal, I don't have to go out of my way to check on it. Seems like I find myself picking up something from the grocery store 2-3 times a week.

The sale was the same as last time they had these (the great SD/HD combo disc ones). There is national-looking signage, so I assume it is company-wide - with eligible UPC codes listed, basically covering every DVD/set with the 'starburst' looking sticker. The signage said the sale was valid from 8/23 - ??? (sorry I forget).

I found out the signage is only Store by Store.. The manager will do it at their discretion... Well, one of the Kroger that I had bought a number of discs from... had the 50% off sign... I called and they at first were not going to let me do it, but did have me come in and return and re-purchase the discs at the discount... So.... got box sets for $4... good stuff.....
Here are the UPCs that might be 50% off at your store(s)...

My store had that sign too but even though the numbers were roght nothing scanned for half off. It took forever for them to straighten it out.

The search function didn't fail me :-) I was just about to post this as if it were something new. I had Animaniacs Vol. 2 and 3 in my cart, along with Veronica Mars Seasons 1 and 2, but after a short while I put them back. I'm trying to get rid of DVD sets that I already own and I just can't justify adding more titles to my collection just because it's a good deal. I probably would've bought a set of TMNT, though.

Our Fred Meyer Stores in Wa state still don't have these. I haven't checked Kroger's other chain here, "QFC" because there's so few left & none near me.

I'm going to check to see if they have Wall-E.
Probably a prev. viewed movie though, beats paying $13+ at target.

Maybe the grocery store find threads should be combined? I saw Jason and the Argonauts for $9.99 at a Ralph's yesterday.

Re: Ralph's Supermarkets DVD Blowout (some same titles as Big Lots)
Check your local stores... YMMV of course but they are "final clearance" 50% off here now with your Kroger Plus card.
Grabbed both copies of Animaniacs V3 for the peeps here (already posted in the BL exchange thread).
Also picked up Veronica Mars S1 and S2; also for the peeps here but after reading about the show (blind buy) it sounds fairly interesting. So, I might keep those, even though my unwatched stack is now reaching the ceiling. I'm drowning in DVDs...
