Re: Big Lots Part 6

Stopped by the Hilliard (OH) store on lunch today. I picked up the last Lois & Clark season 3 and one copy of Wacky Races (there were three left). They also had several Josie and the Pussycats, Flintstones season 3, Tracy Takes On... season 1, Popeye, Dallas (season 7, I think), Roots: The Next Generation, Dukes of Hazzard season 5, and --shocking-- Joey season 1.

My store got a good-sized shipment of Nickelodeon stuff about two weeks ago. I picked up some titles for my son. They had a lot of other titles besides the ones the above poster purchased, including Spongebob, Rugrats, Blue's Clues/Room, etc. Most were $4.00, but later I saw some marked $3.00.

My son has already developed my DVD addiction. I've been using these DVDs as inexpensive rewards when he cooperates or does things to help us. I would love it if another Nick wave would come through sometime soon.

I have a complete directory of every Big Lots store in the United States with store numbers, addresses, phone numbers and delivery schedules. Perhaps I should publish it all over the internet (minus the delivery schedules) with a message that urges people to call and complain about people like you.

Think I am kidding? Try me.

Re: Big Lots Part 6

Interesting. My BL is due for delivery on Thursday but there was a truck out back dropping off today (Monday). I surely wanted to stop the car and take a look in the truck to see if I could spy DVD boxes. The only thing discernable was boxes of Huggies (for parking lot burritos) and toilet paper (napkins for parking lot burritos).

This was at lunchtime so maybe I'll stop by after work to see if anything new is in. I'm not an addict I tell you! Heavens help me....

Cheery pip and all that wot!

So, question. If it says my store gets deliveries on Wednesday, does that mean they put the new items out on Wednesday, or do they get the stuff Wednesday and put out the next day, Thursday? Thanks!

So, who exactly do you think is going to be taking advantage of this sort of information? The fact that you posted it, have it and are making other re-sellers aware of it sure is going to make it easier<sarcasm> on those that aren't the obsessive/compulsive type like yourself.

Just remember, karma's a bitch.

It varies by store. Based on that list, it seems stuff is not being put out for anywhere from 1 to 5 days.

I'm thinking the sales start on the east coast on Sundays and the West coast on Wednesdays. I could be wrong though.

wow..not that hard to find the numbers for all the Big Lots in the U.S. All you have to do is go to Store Locator and type in the location. Gives you the phone number with the location. And now you post this directory and expect others to do the calling for you? You sir, amuse me.

Ordinary people. The re-sellers (the smart ones anyway) are already aware of it because they would have called the store and asked. How else you you think they manage to show up and grab everything in sight shortly after it is put out on the floor?

You got a really nice selection. I found you a copy of the Dastardly & Muttley set, but I saw you finally got it. I will return it and hope I can find Tales from the Crypt S6, Huckleberry Hound and True Blood (in case it shows in my store as somebody else mentioned)

So, are you one of the "smart-ones"? You seem to know a lot about how these re-sellers operate.

Re: Big Lots Part 6

My first trip to Big Lots! during this sale. Stopped by the Novato, CA before work today. Had a good amount of DVD's mentioned in this thread as well as ones that have been around for a while.

They had Tales From The Crypt: Seasons 3 & 5, but both were smashed up

Picked up:

Veronica Mars: Season 2
The OC: Season 2

Yes, but does the store locator give you the delivery days? That is what would give your average Joe a fighting chance to beat the re-sellers at their own game. The other benefits of having a list are self-explanatory.

I do not expect anyone to call for me, they will call for themselves.

I originally said "without the delivery days" because I created a text file without them that is ordered by state rather than store number but I remembered that I had saved the actual link so that was even better and is self-validating because it comes directly from the source. I already know the delivery days of my local stores so I had no need for them.

Some people seem to be trying awfully hard to discredit the information. They are probably re-sellers who will do anything to protect their meager eBay profits. Kinda reminds me of the Ferengi from Star Trek. They certainly have the "look" going for them.

Re: Big Lots Part 6

Still looking for the following listed below as I've had no luck whatsoever spotting these:

Dastardly & Muttley In Their Flying Machines: The Complete Series ($3.00)
Huckleberry Hound Show: Volume 1 ($3.00)
Josie And The Pussy Cats: The Complete Series ($3.00)
Perils Of Penelope Pitstop: The Complete Series ($3.00)
Popeye The Sailor: Volume 1 - 1933-1938 ($3.00)
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection: 15 Winners – 26 Nominees ($3.00)
Scooby Doo-Dynomutt Hour, if this one can be found which I am highly doubting might be out there though.

You can reach me at [email protected] if you guys can help me out with getting those titles. I truly appreciate it. TTYL!

Any assistance or help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and take care. Just one of each is perfect.
