Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
In past sales, the DVD Planet coupon has been reusable. However, I believe that it has always stated in its terms that it can only be used once. I have always waited for confirmation in this forum from someone from the company that it can be used multiple times before ordering.

Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
It took off the discount on the 2 pre-orders I had for Coraline & Watchmen. But would not take the discount off of Greatest Game Ever Played which was in stock and not a pre-order. I had to put it in my wishlist and then back to my cart a couple of times before it finally took off the 25%.

Sigh. The second Chaplin box (recently OOP) was listed as in-stock at DVD Planet when I placed my order, but soon after I received a notice that it was now discontinued. Same deal with DD. Ah well. At least I got the first set before it went OOP. Why would Warner discontinue their Chaplin titles? Hopefully the second set will get repackaged/re-released at some point.

Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
I manged to place an order this weekend, only to find it cancelled this morning (supposedly couldn't bill credit card, but according to my records that shouldn't have been a problem). Just tried to re-order the item, but website won't accept the code (says it's already been used). I'd like to give DVD Planet the business, but I'm giving up and heading over to Deep Discount...thankfully it's only 30 or 40 more cents at DDD! --Peter

Sorry if this has been asked, but does anyone know where DVDPlanet is physically located? I'm in Illinois so I get hit with sales tax with DeepDiscount.
thanks
EDIT: looks like they're in both Illinois and California, so it's a toss up either way.

22 of 27 titles are in "The Process" stage. 2 titles are pre-orders that street tomorrow. So I guess those will moved to the "The Process" stage tomorrow. I now have 3 titles that are back ordered. When I placed my order on Friday I only had one title that was out of stock. I guess I willl find out how long these titles will take to ship out in the next few days.

I have six now listed as backorders.... it was one when I ordered. I'm glad we got the sale and all, but DVDPlanet's really trying hard to get me to stop ordering from them in the future. So far it's working...

Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
I talked to somebody at DVDPlanet today: they apparently know that the coupon is only working once for some (all?) people, and they're trying to fix it and it's supposed to be multiple-use. Also that pre-orders releasing during the sale should be discounted, but they aren't properly. They are trying to fix these things I guess, and told me to order anyway and then call them after it's been processed and they will credit back the 25% even store credit.

Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
Didn't check this year, but in the past on DVDPlanet, adding a pre-order from the search listing page would get you the discount, but not if you added it from the product detail page, so some might try that to see if it's any different.

Re: DVDPlanet 25% is live
I've just ordered Torchwood: Children of Earth and Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead on Blu-ray, and got the discount to work, so the total comes to $29.35. I didn't click through to the product description pages, and paid with PayPal.
These should look nice on my new $98 Walmart Magnavox player I bought yesterday.
The reason I used dvdplanet rather than deepdiscount is that the latter doesn't take PayPal and I had a nice balance left over from eBay selling.
