Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

For all you East Coasters with an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet near you I just found seasons 1 and 2 of InuYasha for $2.99 each at a local Ollie’s. I'll be stopping by another tomorrow to see if they got anything in as well.

Guess nobody has one near or nobody likes InuYasha. LOL!

I haven't got one near me yet but they are openning one soon in the old Value City store.

You'll be in for treat then. I've been to a Value City before. The two stores are similar but Ollie's is soooooo much better. The products they carry are actually worth going into the store for.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

I hope so cause Value City use to be reasonable but then prices started getting higher. I like stores like Big Lots (DVDs) and Gabriel Brother's (for my clothes - they get alot of the King Size catalog clothes at cheap prices).

Never heard of InuYasha, but I have an Ollie's about 20 minutes from me that I visit time to time and they do have some good stuff there.

I love InuYasha, and there's an Ollie's near me. I'll have to check it out.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Just stopped at another Ollie's today to see if they had any other InuYasha sets but they had none at all. So maybe this is a YMMV find or perhaps they hadn't gotten them in or have yet to put them out? I'll be stopping back again this weekend. If I don't see any I'll ask the manager if he knows anything about them.

I picked up the same 2 InuYasha sets (same price) Memorial Day weekend at the Quakertown, PA, Ollies store, and they had several at the time. I've never seen the show, but it has a big following, so I'm looking forward to it.

No InuYasha at my local Ollie's. No decent DVD finds at all, unfortunately. :(

I did find a huge hardback of the last book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series for $2.99 though. I had every book in the series but that one, so the trip wasn't a total bust.

The thread title made me think of Ollie the Magic Bum from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games, lol.

:toast: Ah, I wish I could be a regular there, but I live in NJ and was just passing by on my way home from the new casino.

Please keep posting the finds, tho, so I can make an excuse to go to Ollie's, buy sticky buns at Q-Mart, and hit the casino all in one trip.

Actually went to PA a few weeks ago to check out the new Sands casino - didn't really like it, but that's besides the point :)

Also went to a few Ollie's (Allentown and Bethlehem) cause there's none in NY, and I like those bargain outlet places. Since it was 4th of July weekend, everything was 15% off. Didn't buy any dvd's though cause I wasn't too crazy about the selection. Wife went nuts on scrapbooking stuff though :)

I found InuYasha First Season Set the other day. I bought some other DVDs the week they openned but nothing special and most are now gone.
NASCAR fans may want to check them out because they have gloves for $1.99, 1/64 scale diecast for $1.99 - $4.99, caps for $4.99, 1/24 scale diecast for $5.99 - $9.99, sweatshirts for $12.99. I've spent over $100 on that stuff lately. Thanks dkedvd it has been a treat so far.

My Ollies had 3 of the Rat Pack Collections, I grabbed all 3, one for myself and 2 for gifts. I'm just as excited about the Rat Pack playing cards! Thanks for the heads up.

Picked up that Casablanca box at the North Olmsted Ollie's Saturday. 10 bucks - there was 1 left

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Both of the Casablanca box sets that I got had the place holders not the passport cover. Not sure how those are split up and if they may have both or not.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Current Ollie's ad for Pa.(Oct. 31,Ollie's is starting their Xmas ads by placing them in Sunday's paper) had ESPN titles for $2.99 each. Joke on Ollie(yeah,I know he's dead). Many of these have been showing up at Big Lots over six months ago, packaged in groups of three, for $3.00 a set. And the Ollie version of Bronx is Burning has only three discs. Some of the BLs had the five disc super set of Bronx, along with two other titles for $3.00 total. The two other titles in my set,NASCAR titles, were traded at FYE(sealed, but it didn't matter)and the store credit for the two equaled more than I paid for the original package.

I bought the Rat Pack Collection over a month ago. Yesterday they had around 15 of them in Ollies. Marshalls had a few but for 12.99.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Black Friday ad is no great shakes for me:Batman Begins Limited Edition Gift Set $9.99(it seems they have had that before, but I saw no copies on floor Nov. 22 in Airport Rd.Allentown,Pa.)and Mr. Bean's Holiday w. bobble head(Wal-Mart)$2.99(they had lots,I think they will have lots after Christmas). But what did interest me was the non-advertised Woody Woodpecker,Vol 2 from Universal for $6.99 with about eight copies in store. Online critics knock it because many of the Woody 'toons are directed by Paul J. Smith,a guy I'm not familiar with probably because he evidently was pretty mediocre by bringing his work in on time and under budget(Chuck Jones was a master of this juggling act with his Road Runner 'toons giving him time & money for One Froggy Night. Smith's work evidently only made Walter Lantz richer). As for Ollie's and this box set,one wonders if there are more where that came from. One hopes for TV boxes,a la Big Lots, but maybe I'm just dreaming. Last year saw a late in the buying season ad for Elf & A Christmas Story. I forget the price, and I didn't see the ad till a couple of days afterward and this store had quite a few Elfs(Elves?)but not one A Christmas Story.Strange that both movies have been given the 24-hour marathon treatment on cable TV.
