Yeah I notice a few titles on some lists I made that went up. Some are still at the same though. I need to save anyways.

Some of their pricing is a little perplexing as I mentioned on the other Second Spin thread.
But I was able to find 5 movies that have been on my list to buy for $20 including tax, Ya can't complain about that.

Yes, their prices has gone up making it hard to find some good worthwhile titles. The latest addition "used" titles cost almost the same as new ones.
And their used prices cost way more than other second hand e-tailors.
Darjeeling Limited priced at $11.99 is just outragous. SPUN has it listed to $4.88.
I have 87 titles on my "wish list" under the account. Still, I only managed to order 7 older titles reasonable priced.

Thanks for the Alias tip. I went the FYE route though (buy2g1 sale) and got 1-3 for 31 after tax. It looks like it would be around 26-27 for all three if you are a Backstage Pass member there.

Re: Secondspin.com - 20% off plus free shipping - Expires 6/20/09
This was a special code, not the weekly sale. This one was "espnnow," just like the "heynow" code that surfaces periodically. There is usually no definite time it will stop working.
I still disagree with the "selection sucks" and "prices are inflated" side. My want-list's items are essentially unchanged in price. Here's a complete breakdown of all the price-changes I have observed:
I believe a couple Criterions are up a little (Spartacus by $2 and Seven Samurai by $2--but the latter sold a few days ago), but most of them are still the same (Yojimbo, the Samurai movies, for example). 24 Season 3 is up $3 compared to about 6 months ago. Miami Vice Season 5 is up a couple dollars, maybe (wasn't watching it closely until recently, but the number seems inordinately high at $28.99). Munsters Scary Little Christmas is up $5 (from 3.99 to 8.99!), but that happened back when SS had that glitch that screwed up everybody's orders a couple months ago--I ordered it at $3.99, and it got canceled, but it showed up again as available 3-4 weeks later at $8.99. A couple items no longer have red sale prices: Equilibrium and Robin Hood (Disney). And of course there is the giant jump in Rome seasons that is oft-cited.
On the other hand, Simpsons Season 8 (Maggie-head packaging) has dropped by $8, bit by bit, over the last 6 months, and is now $15.99 (that's a drop of 33%). Other recent releases on DVD and Blu-ray have fallen (but are still outside my price range), such as the new Indiana Jones and Mummy movies, and Starship Troopers 3 (don't you judge me!).
In addition, dozens upon dozens of PS2 games have dropped in price. My price limit for getting them is $7.99 (before 20%-off), and every time there's a "heynow" or other 20%+FS code, I'm able to pick up another 10, at least.
As for prices staying the same, I currently have 45 other DVDs showing as available on my want-list that have not changed in price at all, as far as I can tell, over the last year (which is why they are still on my list, instead of in my house).
I could supply a list if requested.
I would really appreciate seeing an exact breakdown of which items have increased in price. In the last couple threads about SS's sales, many people (including long-time shoppers at SS) have complained about increased prices, but I honestly don't see it.
Before espnnow expired, I ordered:
Adios Amigo
Sky High
Speed Racer (Volume 4)
Kids in the Hall: Tour of Duty
Saturday Night Live: The Best of Tracy Morgan
PS2 Akira Psychoball
PS2 Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This at Home (2003)
PS2 Cars (2006)
PS2 Crazy Taxi (2001)
PS2 Def Jam: Fight for NY (2004)
PS2 Full Spectrum Warrior (2005)
PS2 Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance (2003)
PS2 Motor Mayhem: Vehicular Combat League (2001)
PS2 Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (2003)
PS2 Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain (2004)
PS2 The Getaway (2003)
PS2 The Mark of Kri (2002)
PS2 ThunderStrike: Operation Phoenix (2001)
PS2 Top Gun: Combat Zones (2001)
PS2 True Crime: Streets of L.A. (2003)
PS2 Unreal Tournament (2000)
PS2 Viewtiful Joe (2004)
PS2 WarJetz (2001)
I actually believe Speed Racer Volume 4 and Kids in the Hall: Tour of Duty were higher than they have been in the past, but I don't actually have their prices saved from before.

Well, actually, there was a definite stopping time. 6/20. It was extended a little bit as I placed my order on 6/21.

Had my eye on "Dexter". Two weeks ago both Series 1 & 2 cost $19.95. Now, both have gone up to $24.99
Their prices are still WAY too high for secondhand DVDs. Just compare their prices with Spun and Wherehouse. Let alone Amazon. Sometimes, many newly added titles can be obtained for half the price and NEW in the UK.
With all this in mind I still use them when "Heynow" is in effect. Mainly, because I live overseas. Furthermore, Out-Of-Print titles are also good to look out for.

Alright, I know this sale is over, but SecondSpin just posted this on Twitter:
We’re listening. You want lower prices. We’ve dropped prices on 20,000 items throughout the site. http://www.secondspin.com/?...about 2 hours ago from web
Take a look at your lists I guess. Of course it's after that coupon expired.
