Good price, if it is the same set. From the info listed, it looks to be the same, although no picture available for the 4.99 set.

Ah, the new and not improved version of Bionic Woman.
|
I'm tempted to get this but I hate watching recent TV shows in standard def.

I got this from the Blockbuster deal at the end of last summer for like 50 cents. Still haven't watched it haha

Could never figure out why the original Bionic Woman series never made it out on DVD along with Six Million Dollar Man unless the studios believe these series didn't age well. Loved watching them as a kid.

Yeah, I saw that at the store Sunday. I was thinking about mentioning it, but figured no one would care.

Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
Join one of TV's most stunning breakout heroines as the action-packed series Bionic Woman leaps onto DVD! From executive producer David Eick (Battlestar Galactica) comes this gripping re-imagining of the university beloved character.
Jamie Sommers is a hard-working woman struggling to take care of her younger sister. But after a serious, life-threatening accident, Jamie is saved by a top-secret procedure that makes her much more than just an ordinary woman... it makes her superhumanly bionic. Starring hot newcomer Michelle Ryan, as well as Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan), Molly Price (Third Watch), Will Yun Lee (Witchblade), Lucy Kate Hale (How I Met Your Mother), and guest stars Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), it's a non-stop thrill ride unlike anything you've seen before! 338 Minutes Just found this at Best Buy in Trumbull, CT. on a rack of ONLY $4.99 movies and figured this might appeal to some of us. It's currently listed at $13.49 at Amazon so for $5, what the hey? I can't seem to get the set image to load but here's a link to the set: http://www.amazon.com/Bionic-Woman-O...7016763&sr=1-1 |

Thanks, Speedy. It's available online so I ordered it that way with in-store pick-up. This is a blind buy for me, but I loved the old show and this will fit in perfectly with the Sci-Fi challenge going on this month.

Re: Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
Thanks OP! I jumped on it as a blind buy as well, did it online for pickup. I only ever saw the original pilot (pre-revisions), but it had potential.
(...and anything with Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff is worth at least $5 of my money!) |
Re: Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
I know this was posted a few weeks ago, but I can't find the thread.
I saw it at Best Buy for $4.99 around then, but even at that price I could not do it, and I watched it while it was on TV. |
Re: Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
I'm going to try and remember to take a look for this tomorrow....
I too watched it when it was on, every episode in fact, and thought it was pretty decent....the pilot had a lot of potential that was unfortunately never realized with the rest of the series, but for a $5 bill, I'd put it on the shelf to view again sometime later.... |
Re: Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
I think the 8 episodes produced are definitely worth 5 bucks. I picked it up a few weeks ago even though I watched all the episodes when they aired.
The show wasn't perfect though. If you manage to locate the few show threads in the TV Talk forum, there were alot of complainers/haters of this new version and the lead actress Michelle Ryan. It's sad this show was a victim of the writer's strike. It would have gotten at least 13 episodes if the strike never happened. |
Re: Bionic Woman (2007): Volume I (aka Complete Series) at Best Buy for $4.99
Picked up a copy today.
I mentioned in this week's Best Buy thread that there were a good amount more to the $4.99 BB DVD sale that was unadvertised. The two BB's I went to had a cardboard display bin set up marked "Make It Movie Night". Had a good bunch of DVD's not mentioned in the $4.99 Ad this week, but show up $4.99 online. http://forum.dvdtalk.com/9549021-post35.html |

Re: Bionic Woman (2007) Volume 1 (2 disc) $4.99 Best Buy
I saw 5 copies at my Best Buy yesterday, 2 of them were stickered $4.99 and had a different UPC barcode sticker over the original one. The other 3 copies were $14.99 with the original barcode showing.

I'd only pay $4.99 if there were exclusive scenes that featured her bionic boobs:

Tvshowsondvd.com has reported on this in the past, here is a link: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Six...-DVDs-Yet/8198 I have post the real reason on the DvdTalk before here is "the real reason". 1: Dimension Films owns the rights to the word "Bionic". Because of The Six Million Dollar Man Movie they wanted to make. Jim Carrey at one time was pick to play Steve Austin. 2: Universal Studios owns the (tv footage). |
