Re: Target Ad - 6/14 - 6/20
I bought a copy of X-Men 1 (SD) with $10 movie cash today. It looks like it's pretty random. Just check the sticker on the outside and it says whether it's worth $5 or $10. Most of the copies were $5, but there were about 3 that were for $10.

Re: Target Ad - 6/14 - 6/20
If anyone is curious I got my Family Guy Vol 7 Target Exclusive today. The packaging is pretty different from any other release. The normal cardboard case (that vol 1-6 came in) holds a regular dvd case w/slipcover and the art book/poster are underneath filling the rest of the empty space. I'll try and post pics when I get home. Did the regular release packaging change (1 dvd case w/slipcover instead of 3 slim cases)?

I also got the Target Exclusive for Family Guy Vol 7. The regular release packaging changed to the 1 amaray case w/slipcover, which is what is housed in the exclusive.

I grabbed a raincheck for Prestige last night, but when I swung by there today, they had completely restocked all of their 3.98 titles. In fact, there were still raincheck pads under the in-stock DVDs for many of them.
Also still had a TON of Grand Torinos. They were a front endcap on the checkout lanes.

Every Target I visited in the past week has a ton of Gran Torinos. Even though I liked the film, I just can't pull the trigger on $10. I'm going to wait until it drops below $10 before I finally pull the trigger. I want more bang for my buck and 2 shitty featurettes about cars isn't enough for that price.

Got Chocolat with slip cover, The Prestige, and American Psycho for $3.98 each. All anamorphic and full of extra features. Pretty good considering I wasn't even aware of the sale.

Re: Target Ad - 6/14 - 6/20
If this $3.98 sale is directly related to the plummeting economy, it's one of the very few upsides. I really hope Target does this again, soon. The titles have been flying off the shelves -- and I've been doing my part in contributing to that. I picked up a few DVDs initially and told myself I didn't need any more. Then I started thinking about the ones I passed up... I was back over there the next day grabbing a couple more. This has happened three times this week. There may be another trip over there for more before Sunday.
It appears they were restocking at least every other day; some titles that were in the highest demand like the X-Mens, the Underworlds, Titanic, Shawshank, etc., might have been restocked every day. All told, they have been moving a lot of DVDs this week.
I've realized that as a side effect of these can't-pass-up prices, I haven't been this excited about DVD collecting in almost ten years.
