I have not heard of this. The FYE.com website still allows you to use backstage pass. Then again, I haven't stopped in a TWEC store for a while now.

My understanding is that FYE still has the annual $25 dollar membership available, and is not going away any time soon.

The monthly charge of $12 (or whatever) is for a more versatile, different type of membership that will be valid at other stores of which includes non-electronics. This "newer" membership in a sense is not-FYE specific but will obviously still be valid at FYE and like. Contact actual store for more details.

i guess i should have added more details doh. last visit at my local fye, the nice lady asked a customer checking out if he wanted to enroll in that wacky, monthly, scam (sorry if this offends) of a program. when i check out, said nice lady asked me a few personal questions like address and phone number and email. before answering, i asked why and she replied that there is a change in there checkout program that is related to my bsp. as in, she needs this info in order for me to get my 10% bsp discount.

i guess i am jumping the gun and perhaps doing some bad math trying to add it all up. ill ask about this the next time i go in.
