Wow, I had no expectation of receiving this - I ordered weeks ago, but after the initial wave and for a slightly higher price. Plus, PBS was out-of-stock at the time and I expected to get a cancellation notice.

Imagine my surprise to find this gorgeous set in my mailbox! Watched the film last night, and it is miles better than the prior disc... plus you can listen without the Russian "narration/overdub".

An unbelievably great DVD of a truly exceptional film. New Yorker redeemed itself for a lot of shoddy work... and then went bust apparently. Still, a nice legacy represented in this set.

Did your copy have any loose disks. I still have mine sealed. And I can hear something moving around. I'm hoping for the best when I open it.

Got mine Monday - great deal! As far as loose discs - all 3 dvds are in separate thin cases where they really can't rattle around inside the cigar box.
