Which two Ohio stores? City?
That just sounds too good of a deal. Why would they lower the box set prices to $3? I hope it's true.
I went earlier this morning and found nothing new at two Cleveland area stores.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I found the 3.00 sets also. I got Tales from the Crypt 1-5. There were lots of Hanna Barbera ones including the Flintstones. All were 3.00 per set. They even had some stuff that was 6.00 before marked at 3.00 now.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I went to the one in Clifton NJ and it was pretty dismal just boxsets of the OC, Dallas, Dukes of Hazzard which don't interest me at all. I picked up the shocker/people under the stairs double dvd though for $6 but the rest was just not so great. I wish I could find some of things people are listing here.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

The Big Lots on Anderson Road/White Horse in Greenville, SC had nothing new that has been mentioned today as of 1:30 this afternoon.

Gonna check the one on Farrs Bridge/White Horse after work. I am not even going to attempt Woodruff Road - if you've been on this road you know what I mean. Even these cheap sets aren't worth that hassle especially during rush hour.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Had a bunch of serendipity with my purchases today.

Knew that I had 3 of the ER seasons at home, not sure which ones, but bought the 4 sets at Big Lots anyway. Come home to find no duplication.

Knew that I had a couple of the Superman sets, not sure which, bought the 3 sets available at Big Lots, come home to find no duplication and a now complete Superman collection.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Sound like those IMAX Ultimate Collection, America's Game The Superbowl Champions (40 disc set), Roots The Complete Collection and Stanley Kubrick Collection (WB Home Video Directors Series - the latest remaster) are "East-Coast Only".

Dam that all to hell were is the love for "West-Coast"?

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I'm very upset at myself for not going yesterday like I was going to. I'll buy practically ANY box sets for $3 that I don't already own, unless I know I absolutely don't like the show. Not to mention cheap as hell gifts... I pray I can score some of those... Looks like I'll be hitting all 3 of the stores in my area tonight...

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Stopped by today after work & saw the Roots, Kubrick & Super Bowl $10 sets;
the $3.00 Hanna-Barbera sets for Flintstones 1, 2, 3 & 5 (all of the Season 1 sets were unwrapped for some reason), Space Ghost & Dino-Boy, Josie & the Pussycats, Pebbles & Bam-Bam, Top Cat, Huckleberry Hound 1, Wacky Races, & Dastardly and Muttley.
Also for $3.00 Popeye Vol.1, Adventures of Superman (everything but season 2), a couple seasons of Lois & Clark, a couple seasons of Tales From the Crypt, Superman: the Movie 4-disc edition and probably some other shows I'm forgetting.
They also had a couple of Looney Tunes sets, but they weren't the Golden Collections so I didn't pay much attention to them.

Still looking for Wonder Woman complete - if anyone wants to trade for any of these, I can stop by tomorrow after work and see if anything's left. They had from 2 - 10 copies of everything & I rarely see anyone in there buying dvds. Of course, now it will probably be cleaned out!

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I also picked up some $3 sets today.

Tales from the Crypt Seasons 2-6
Lois and Clark Season 1-3
Mission Hill The Complete Series

Big Lots is going to make me go broke. They had a ton of the Dallas sets. A couple of Everwood but I knew I would never watch it. They also had a couple seasons of Tracy Takes On but season one was priced for $3 and season 2 was $6. That made me think they had priced the newer sets wrong but glad to see they are putting out these sets at $3.

Still wanting to pick up that Kubrick box set.

Ok, Nivlac finds a plethora of new/unseen sets in Ohio and for $3 instead of the usual $6. Big Lots Corporate Offices just happen to be in Columbus (Go Blue!) Ohio. Darn Buckeyes hoarding all the good stuff for themselves.

Just Kidding Nivlac, well done my friend!

Looks like you got there before I did. I'm looking for ER 1, 4, 5, 8, & 9. All that was left was 2 & 7. I did see a bunch of Blade Complete Series, Flintstones S 2 & 5, Dallas (don't remember the seasons), a bunch of War Movie collections, Everwood S1, The War At Home S1.

I did pick up 1 new and unmentioned title - Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection for $3. It was the only copy.

Uh-Oh, another Ohio guy! The conspiracy is back on. Mapquest says I'm 59 miles from the closest store in Toledo Ohio (and there's 7 stores in that area). What to do, what to do?

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I hit all 3 BL's in my area today (TN). New box sets were out but very picked over. I saw a ton of Dukes of Hazard. Was able to finally pick up Blade the Series, the Scooby 5 pack, Best of the New Scooby movies, Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection 2, and Scooby Doo Where Are You Complete 3rd Season. Was hoping to find a Wonder Woman complete like everyone else. I think these are going fast. There were lots of people gathered around the DVD displays at each of the stores I went to.

Re-checked all of the local stores today, but nothing new anywhere. The stores here say they get shipments on Mondays only.
