Mine too with the $3.00 titles. I don't get this two week display strategy Walmart is doing as of lately. But I sure now know if I see something I want at Walmart I better but it because in two weeks it will be gone.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

I buy only a few dvds, but these were better than Big Lots. I bought:

JCVD (was going to buy the blu-ray double w/Exit Speed at WalMart for $20)
Wedding Daze

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

My store had some $4 DVDs but no $3 ones yet. I did buy the following:
- The Jerk 26th Anniversary Edition ($5)
- Absolute Power (Clint Eastwood) ($4)
- The Bridges of Madison County (Clint Eastwood) ($4)

I had a couple Swayze films in my hand but for $5 each decided to put them back. Big Lots has spoiled me with $3 DVDs.

Picked up for $3 a piece:
JCVD
Lust, Caution (R-rated version)
Lock Up
Wedding Date
Catch a Fire
Music Within

There were a few good ones I remember that I already have such as The Final Cut (Robin Williams) and The Constant Gardener.

No marked $3 display at another store nearby. Finally found the 4 film pack of The Substitute 1-4 for $5, however. Also, License to Wed was $5 at this store and $13 at the store I went to the night before. That said, I blind bought it for five bucks.

Yeah saw this today too. And either it's already been picked clean or yet to be filled cause I only saw Breakfast Club, 16 candles, HR Puffnstuff the movie and a few others. The Hughes movies are stickered that they have the original music restored.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

I was in WM today and noticed some new 13.00 Walmart Exclusive double packs. The only one of interest to me was Drag Me to Hell with Army Of Darkness: Screwhead Edition. I passed on it on but may go back tomorrow. I don't remember all the others but I do recall The Fast and The Furious with Miami Vice.

I picked up Annie Hall for $7.50 (well, $7.95 after tax) and if I'm not mistaken, it is OOP.

I've seen those, also. In addition to the ones you mentioned, I can remember these ones;

Land of the Lost w/ Kicking & Screaming
State of Play w/ The Good Shepherd
Duplicity w/ Something I can't remember... sorry

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

At mine I just picked up Charlies Angels Season 1&2 and 3&4. 2 bundles for $20 each. They also had a lot of 3 and 4 packs of movies for $13, such as Chuck Norris, Once upon a time in china trilogy, I know what you did last summer, Best of SNL, etc. They had just re-done the electronics dept and they had a ton of movies.

I need to find that Substitute pack bad.

Hm, I'll have to be on the lookout for the Charlie's Angels sets.

Im glad I got them when I did. I went back last night to look for The Substitute and Charlies Angels was gone. Not even an empty slot with price.

Speaking of The Substitute, is anyone still finding this? They got rid of the dump bin, and just have a few random $5 movies on a shelf.

I've only found this set at one store, they still have the bin but have a whole section of shelves for $5 DVDs.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

I took a peak in the big $5 bin at WM Saturday and spotted one copy of Roman Holiday: Centennial Collection. I thought that sounded like a good deal. But it rang up at $4: a 20% better deal.

Saw a $3 display at WM near the elect. counter with about 40-50 titles. Some of them:
Mr. Mom
Nurse Betty
Casino Royale (1967), non SE
Legally Blondes
SNL Best of Molly Shannon
Cheech Marin and friends
Last Sentinel
A Simple Wish
Narrow Margin
The Musketeer
Hallmark 4-pack w/ Thicker than Water/Angel in the Family/Ordinary Miracles/Fielder's Choice
Wedding Daze
Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream
Catch A Fire
Confindetial

There were a few open spots and I didn't take the time to really see what was already sold.

Found Gentlemen Broncos for $7.50 today. I had been wanting to see it and couldn't pass it up at that price.

Yes! A "funny" funny movie.

I found "Frequency" yesterday ($5 I think)! Only copy I've ever seen. Not much else new. I guess that stuff at Wal-mart moves pretty quickly.

Found a $7.50 copy of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Power Cosmis Edition).

No sign of those TV 2 packs. And the $7.50 "Best of the 70's, 80's & 90's" is now racked with the other films. Anybody seen a comrehensive list of what was offered on that first go round? I'll start it:

Weird Science
16 Candles
Breakfast Club
American Graphiti
HR Puffnstuff the movie
The Mummy
Coal Miner's Daughter
Annie Hall
Carrie
