Thanks for the post....I ordered Twilight Zone Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 5. I did not care much for Season 4 with the extended episodes. The only one I truly would like to have is Robert Duvall's "miniature" episode about the musuem and the dollhouse. Thanks again!!!!

The transfer is superior to all of the other editions, though still pretty ragged in parts. Nevertheless, this is probably the best the film will look unless Criterion gets their hands on it. It's an essential purchase, especially for $3. No viewer with any interest in noir should be without it. Here is the DVD Beaver comparison.

The site still lists the sale prices, but when I add them to my cart the regular price is shown. This happens for in-stock as well as out-of-stock items. I hope it's a temporary glitch and that the sale prices will be reinstated soon.

I ordered Dick Van Dyke show complete set and Father murphy season 2 they were both in stock when I ordered when i check on their website it says back order it shouldn't let you put it in the cart if it not in stock at that time. Makes me mad they didnt even send me a email about what happened.

My Dick Van Dyke set is now showing " No Longer Available!!!" as it's status. I assume that means it's canceled and I won't be getting it?

My Father Murphy S1 and S2 were ordered yesterday afternoon and went from "In Process" to "Backordered" within the last few hours. I ordered Dick Van Dyke S2 - S5 early Saturday morning and they still show "In Process".

Some of these Image sets have been around since 2004/2005 and these deals are about as low as I've seen them before. I wonder if time is running out on their licensing and so they were trying to move stock as fast as possible. It would be interesting to see how stock is doing over at DD.

Edit: It looks like the limited supply on everything has been exhausted. While you can still get at the Fire Sale page from the initial link, it is no longer an ad on their sight. After having just used the original link on page 1, all the prices are back to their standard pricing.

DD still has the complete Dick Van Dyke Show listed for $89 (even though out of stock). With the 10% off you could still get relatively close to the Planet price, but I wouldn't count on it being the same price if and when the 20%-25% sale comes around.

Half of my order shows in process, the other half shows in stock/ships in 24-48 hours. It was nice to click on the original link and see how much prices are now. Makes me feel better about pulling the trigger on this deal.

My TTZ order shows "In Process" but there's still not temp charge to my CC. I'm assuming the "In Process" means it'll get shipped soon.

But the banner text says:

"Goodness, gracious. We're practically giving away these titles! With price cuts as deep as nearly 90% on some titles, you're gonna save a fortune! This is for a very limited time only! You must take advantage of these titles by 5/15/09!"

So not a "limited supply" but a "limited time" that seems to have ended very early for some reason. Doesn't seem very ethical to me since an ending date was stated. But I tend to think it's some kind of glitch and it will get fixed soon.

Great. The Twilight Zone sets are listed at $17.50 each, but change to full price when I put them in my cart.

^It's the same for *all* the tiles originally in this sale. When you search for them they show up as the "Fire Sale" price but revert to the "normal" price when placed in your cart.

Yeesh - I just checked my order and all of the Dick Van Dyke and Twilight Zones are listed as "Back Order." If this weren't DVDPlanet I probably wouldn't be worried, but I have the sinking feeling I might be SOL. I checked over at their sister site DD and all of the titles are listed as being Out of Stock there as well. So unless they start buying from Amazon marketplaces sellers (which has happened before during the more rabid 25% sale) things look a bit chilly.

P.S. Looks like they've taken the Fire Sale promo off the opening page...

I got shipping notice for Seasons 2 and 3 of Twilight Zone. Season 1,4, and 5 are listed as backordered. The Twilight Zone sets are currently listed as Temp. sold out instead of No Longer Available. Hopefully that means they will get more stock.

I already had season 1 of Dick Van Dyke so ordered the individual sets of seasons 2 through 5. I received notice yesterday that they had shipped. I had also ordered those mid Saturday morning. The Father Murphy sets I ordered on Sunday afternoon say backordered.
