Wow, in 3 years of buying from these guys, I have never seen their selection so pathetic and their prices so high. Absolutely nothing for me to buy there. 60 bucks for Brisco County used? Ridiculous. Even with the code, lousy deals.

I agree, the prices seem higher today than two years back. They must have increased the prices within the last year. $16 for newly USED title is just too much.

One really has to make serious research whether a given titles is a good buy or not.

I think part of the reason the selection is worse is that between them and Wherehouse there has been a 20% off and free ship sale going on a lot more in the past few months, so they haven't had the middle time to replenish stock.

They did raise some prices in the last month too, a few things I've been watching went from $22 to $33.

This many big sales back to back along with a few months of big rebates at FYE makes me wonder if Transworld is doing badly enough that they're needing short-term profit this badly.

What I've found isn't so much that they've been raising prices, but that they've been switching around which items are marked as "clearance" much more often than they used to (see http://secondspin.blogspot.com/2008/...eap-stuff.html for reference to the whole "prices ending in 7" thing). It used to be that the clearance items would change every few months or so -- lately I've been noticing somewhat larger changes every other week.

well for the last week (expired yesterday), it was 25% off everything, and only $1 shipping per item, so it was as good or better of a deal. now i think its just the 25% off.

but even with that sale i bought NOTHING. Their prices have stayed much higher than usual. I've found Hastings has had much better used sales, even with their excessive shipping.

^ Really hate to bump this thread, too, but that shipping was only for domestic. Dane and I and others are interested in free international shipping. :)

And yeah, it has been a while since heynow was active. However, there have been other weekly 20%-off+FS codes that included free international shipping (and there have been 25%-off and 30%-off w/FS codes, too, but I think they had minimum purchase requirements).

Wherehouse.com had 30% off last week, and I couldn't find a single good deal. I've been pretty unhappy with their prices.
