Bizarre. The item is faded with a "coming soon" posted on it. Usually Goldbox deal-of-the-day is up and running long before now. Did this sell out already?

I checked this thread hoping someone knew why Deal of the Day says coming soon. I am assuming 55% off is the Deal of the Day and that the gold box page just has a glitch. I could be wrong. I have never scene the Deal of the Day listed as coming soon. Ether it is available or sold out.
On the Amazon ad at DVD Price Search it shows the set for $51.95 but when you click on the link it comes up $57.95.
I checked at about 11:35 AM and now the ad at DVD Price Search says $57.95

By the looks of it, under the comment section on Amazon people are saying 51.xx. I don't know if I want to risk waiting for it to show up with that price or not. Might sell out for all I know. I think I will pay the extra 6 dollars and order this set. Looks like an awesome set. I've been dying to see the other movies too, so it's a win/win...

It's definitely a good set content-wise, I just hate the packaging....I am glad I was able to get all five films in their individual cases for a bit less than even this great price....
If you don't mind the oversized packaging and the disc hubs, then I'd say go for it, the films have never looked and sounder better, plus you get tons of extras...

I decided to get this for 57.xx
I can care less IF it drops down 6 dollars... I'd rather pick it up when I had the chance instead of it being sold out...
Just buy the damn thing...

I guess if you order it at $57.95 and the price drops later today and your item hasn't shipped, they will price match through their guranteed lowest price.

Too good to pass up for me. At $11 bucks and change per disc, I'll gladly upgrade this now.
Now to unload that old set......

Price went back up weird. Either they are trying to fix a glitch and get it to show up properly at the $51.xx price or they messed up somehow and the deals done. Which would be crap if thats true.

Anybody remember how much this was the last time it was a gold box deal? I think it was 71.99 or something. That's when I bought it...

I was a maybe at $52, definite no go at $58.
I've managed to find over 100 blu-rays at $10 or less, these should easily fall to that level.

From the comments section in Goldbox:
Amazon.com Gold Box Team says:
We apologize for the issues with today's Deal of the Day this morning. The issues have been resolved and Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray is now at the correct price of $57.95. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hmm... I want this set but am not planning on getting a Blu-Ray player until Nov/Dec. Anyone think this price will pop up again anywhere between now and then?

Many of their gold box items tend to repeat in 4-5 months I'd say. Not always at the same price though. Some get better, some get worse...

I'm not sure if I'll get this. On the one hand, I want it... on the other -- there are others things I would probably rather purchase right now and I need to be more selective ATM. I'm confused.
