Re: Amazon's Buy 10 Save $100 Is Back
Having missed out on the lower prices, this sale doesn't quite cut it. Though since there are certainly a few titles in there that I don't own yet and have been eyeing, I'll keep my eyes open in case the prices drop again. I sent an e-mail to Amazon CS calling them on the raise in prices.

Nothing on the site now for less than $24.49. So the best price would be $249 for 10. Then -$100 for a total of $149. Not a bad price for Disney Blu but not an outstanding price either.

Amazon must think we are all bank executives with big fat bonus checks! These price increases are unreasonable for regular folks. Maybe the top 1% of the population can afford these price jumps but most of us retirees are struggling in this post-Bush economy.

* National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets
* Sleeping Beauty
* Wall-E (Three-Disc Special Edition + Digital Copy and BD Live)
* Chicken Little
* Meet the Robinsons
* Apocalypto
Order 2:
* Casanova
* Enemy of the State
* The Prestige
* Goal! The Dream Begins
* Deja Vu
* Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
* Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
* Signs

* Gangs of New York
This time I ordered 20 and am happy that I did
Lesson: if you see a deal that you like, order right away because it could go away at any moment.
BTW, I can't believe that people couldn't find at least 1 DVD that they wanted unless they just don't like Disney / Buena Vista movies. I can understand 10, but c'mon, at least 1?

The economy was struggling long before Bush left office... The stock market plummet started Sept. 29. Believe me, I can't forget that date...

I have 10 titles waiting in my cart and I am ready to pull the trigger whenever the prices back to $19.XX .
I will either save $100 by buying them when the prices drop back where they were or i will save $100 by not ordering it
Its a win-win situation. LOL

I'm in the same boat as many of you - had the titles in my cart, licking my lips at what I considered to be an amazing deal....then went to bed. Rookie mistake!

Anyone email Amazon and mention the prices got jacked only a few hours after adding titles to your cart? Might get something out of it. I'm thinking of emailing them about the 3 titles I had.

Well it is their sale and they can do whatever they want with it. They actually even stated on their See details “We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate or modify this promotion.” I am just hoping that they will decrease the prices but I don’t see that’s happening since they jacked the prices up couple of hours later they started this sale with lower prices.

Like many here, I thought I'd have more than a few short hours to make an order from a decent sale. No big loss as, like everybody else, I already had most of the stuff that I could want on that list.

Re: Amazon's Buy 10 Save $100 Is Back
Some days I just need to suck it up and pull the trigger and not wait. This reminds me of those incredible blu-ray player and free blu dvds from the end of last year. I had the items in my cart and waited a tad too long and *poof!* The deals magically disappeared or got jacked up in price...and it would have been such an incredible deal - if I had actually done it. This current deal I saw too late, but like others, have the items in my cart in the "chance" they will come down in price before the sale ends. =)

Yes, like someone said, next time we see a deal that it's too good to be true, BUY!! The worse that can happen is that you end up selling them on eBay because you need money...=p
And like some also said, money well saved...NOT...

For those of you who jumped on the deal right away and got 10 for about $100, has Amazon shipped your order yet?
When I ordered, everything was "in stock" and it showed an estimated ship date of 4/2/09. The order is still sitting in "not shipped" mode.
I'm kinda wondering if this deal will somehow vanish like a mirage in the desert....

My 10 arrived yesterday. Ten titles for $97.90. Grabbed the Pirates films and the three Pixar titles. Great deal, glad I didn't hesitate...

I waited at around midnight and the prices were still up and the deal on...yup, other offers will come, and we should take advantage of them as soon as we see them...

Aggghhh, how did I miss this! There are tons of titles on there I wanted and if I could have gotten them for below $10 a title, that's right at my price point. Damn.

Re: Amazon's Buy 10 Save $100 Is Back
It's certainly mine. It's why I have so many more HDDVDs than BDs at this point. (Though I did pay $30 for Zodiac when it was released, but I LOVE that movie.)
Sad that these Amazon sales tend to be rendered pointless so quickly.
