That's a typically well-written review by Paul Mavis and, in my opinion, he fairly describes the a/v issues associated with this set. I'm just starting disc 14 of this set this evening and loving every minute of this series. Lee Marvin dominates this series in a way that very few actors in a lead television role have done before or since.
Incidentally, Timeless Media's other 16 DVD megaset of "Wagon Train" episodes is also at the same price for a limited time.

Yeesh that's a great price for M Squad - I'm already well over my limit this month but I really doubt I see this series this cheap again for some time. Thanks brisco32!

Great price for a great series. I can't believe how much I am enjoying the series. I actually purchased my copy from Sam's Club for $49.88 - a $34.52 rebate check for using their credit card this past year. So I only paid $15.36 out-of-pocket (Sorry, had to boast my good luck) But, the point is, I was hoping I would enjoy the series, knowing my likes, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who likes classic TV/Cinema, especially 40's Film Noir.

I am torn ... the picture quality doesn't sound very good ... but this will probably be the one and only opportunity to get the complete series.

It's quite watchable, and even with the numerous flaws, I've had no misgivings about buying the set (got mine from Borders for a few dollars less than this Amazon price). Just don't go into it expecting some full-on restoration, or any for that matter, and enjoy the show for the high quality noir/mystery that it was.

Amazon has a lot of other classic TV series on sale now. I ordered five sets this morning, including the "Classic Sci-Fi TV 150 Episodes," as well as the similar detective and western sets, for $11.99 each. Not the greatest quality, but you can't beat the price.

I just received M Squad from Amazon, if you ordered a copy beware when you open the box. One of my discs was flying around and was scratched , IMO not the best packaging, 2 discs fit onto a plastic holder which is glued onto the cardboard packaging.
Also Amazon threw this into an oversize box with NO packing material !
I played 2 episodes and they were fine i guess i am lucky that the other 14 discs stayed intact.
