Tox Box is better, The Complete Toxic Avenger features an edited Toxic Avenger 2 in it.

Re: Tox box, the [dvd]

The Complete Toxic Avenger
Toxic Avenger - Director's Cut
Toxic Avenger II - Edited
Toxic Avenger III - Director's Cut
Toxic Avenger V - Citizen Toxie (2 Disc)
Toxic Avenger - The Complete Cartoon Series (2 Disc)

Note: 1-3 Are From the original Releases Nothing Special & The Two disc normal release of Toxic Avenger V, The only real bonus here is the complete cartoon edition in my eye's. They Goofed again putting the edited part 2

Tox Box
Toxic Avenger - Director's Cut
Toxic Avenger II - Director's Cut
Toxic Avenger III - Director's Cut
Toxic Crusaders The Television Series Vol. 1 (Basicly 2 or 3 episodes of the cartoon series put into movie form)

So it really depends if you want your troma edited or not. If u dont care about the edit's the new one is the way to go but if your like me and dont like your stuff edited u can always buy the tox box and the citizen toxie on the side

Re: Tox box, the [dvd]

I thought that with the Tox Box, some part 2's were edited and some weren't. And for the record, on the Tox Box, it includes Toxic Crusaders: The Movie, which is a few episodes edited together as you say. There is also Toxic Crusaders: Volume 1 which has a few standalone episodes.

Re: Tox box, the [dvd]

I was able to get a used copy for $17.99 a couple months back. All three movies were unedited and as for the cartoon...it's not worth getting the other set for the full series. I could have easily done without the cartoon. I would just buy part 4 separately.

I think this belongs in the DVD Talk section as this really isn't a bargain. Am I wrong?

I owned this, but it was stolen in a break-in. I'm debating whether or not to buy this again...

Someone broke into your place and that's what they took??? Hopefully that's not how I ultimately got my set...I bought it used from Secondspin

Hey, you got my Tox Box! Give it back! LOL

They broke into my storage unit when I was "between homes" and stole 3-4 boxes of DVD's and a few other things. They got about 1/3 of my collection at the time, but thankfully not all of it. Every now and then I look for a DVD that I know I owned, and discover it must have been stolen, but I never realized was missing...

This was 4 years ago, but coincidentally my apartment was broken into last week. This time, they stole a computer, camera, and my PS3 controllers, but left the PS3 and all of my DVD collection. Go figure.

Re: Tox box, the [dvd]

I bought the Complete Toxie from Uncle Lloyd's hands directly.
I stupidly bought a copy of the DC from ebay or something right after finding out about the supposed edit--not all copies have an edited copy of Toxie 2. Mine didn't.

I now have two copies of the director's cut of Toxie 2.

Don't waste money on the Tox Box if you don't already have Citizen Toxie, as the price is much better for all four (and the actually pretty amusing cartoon) in the Complete Toxie set.

One of the problems with the Complete Toxie is it comes with a much worse transfer, on at least the first movie, than the Tox Box. There's some threads around her that have screenshots.

I have the Tox Box and after seeing the new transfer, wasn't at all willing to "upgrade".

That's very weird, considering it has the exact same disc ID as the original set, and no other release has been made (except the non-OAR 21st Anniversary version). Also seems very un-Troma to spend money on a new transfer (or, for that matter, new disc!), especially when all of these look very much like the discs from the Tox Box set (which a friend of mine has).

Anything's possible though, I guess.

That's funny, I had this once and sold it, but I think I still have the Linticular card somewhere still. Is it really that rare?

They also seem to have Class of Nuke 'Em High, Pts. 1-3: The Complete Spill-ogy. Wasn't that OOP? Is it back in print or is this too a special find like the Tox Box?

Did the storage place have insurance on your stolen goods? I'd imagine they gave you some type of reimbursement. I'd be shocked if these storage centers just posted signs saying "store your stuff at your own risk" and left it alone.

I was wrong, it was the good version of the first movie but a cut version of the second in the complete toxie.

Nope. They have pamphlets for insurance companies in the office (like Renter's Insurance) which I never looked into... They claimed zero responsibility. I suppose I could have looked into suing. I never thought about it...

So then yours did not come with a limited editon lenticular lobby card... or did it? Let me know. I got floaters in mine (loose DVDs), but no card. I am wondering if it is inside the box, but I'm not sure if I want to open it to see. So if you opened yours and it had a lenticular card, do let me know.

Thanks for letting me know. I need to ask them what's up since I got loose DVDs I should be owed the card.
