I placed an order with them three weeks ago today (that was and is still in stock) and still haven't received the item. None of my e-mails have been answered. I'm in D.C. and I realize this will be shipped from Canada. But I've ordered from Amazon.co.uk and received all my purchases from them within 5 days. Without paying extra in shipping. What the fuck??

Well, everything's coming from Canada, and they're on the metric system, so it might take longer. I use the good old Bob & Doug "double and add 30" system when converting to/from metric:
50 mph = 130 kph
1 pound of back bacon = 32 kilos
12 Dunkin' Donuts = 54 Tim Horton Donuts
6 pack of Budweiser = 42 Molsons
So a 5 day wait for an Amazon order should equal a 40 day iNetVideo order.
50 mph = 130 kph
1 pound of back bacon = 32 kilos
12 Dunkin' Donuts = 54 Tim Horton Donuts
6 pack of Budweiser = 42 Molsons
So a 5 day wait for an Amazon order should equal a 40 day iNetVideo order.

Happy to report that the three DVDs I ordered have only English writing on the packaging, although they do have a Canadian rating in addition to the MPAA rating, but oh well. I'm pleased.

Unless you're collecting every packaging variation, what's the problem with the bilingual Canadian packaging?

Because I speak English, and don't want French writing on my packaging. In my opinion, not to sound small-minded, it just looks silly to have the title written twice, once in French. The only movies I own that have French on them are Future Shop Exclusive SteelBooks, which is the only way they are available.

You can always print a custom cover, there's a good number of them out there.

To each is own...
it's a new world we live in with an international market...it's not our grandpa's world anymore...resistance is futile and will leave those with a "nationalist type" of mentality behind.

I know this is an old thread, but the title is still valid. They have LOTS of BD's for $6.99 right now. HD-DVD's are actually at 99 cents and higher, plus a few $4.99 box sets (Smallville S6 and Sopranos S4). I just placed my first order with them in a LONG time. Some Canadian exclusive titles as well, like The Others, 21 Grams, and 15 Minutes. Although I passed on The Others and 15 Minutes because they are 1080i and have no extras...
There are also cheap video games.
EDIT: The free shipping minimum is $50 this time, not $49 like the last time. Close though...

I've already got all the HD-DVDs they have- guess they aren't getting any more new ones.

I hadn't looked at Inetvideo for a long time. I see that some of their titles do say "Canadian Version" now which is an improvement, although their normal shipping prices are still awful. However, I checked a few HD-DVDs I had gotten bilingual versions before and those still don't say "Canadian Version". Can we trust that if we order a HD-DVD or BD from them that doesn't say "Canadian Version" that we will absolutely get a US version with a UPC code a US store like FYE will recognize for trade-in (not that any store will take HD-DVD trade-ins now)?
The other problem is that I've seen too many BD deals for under $10 lately to feel like double-dipping on so-so BD titles for $7-$10. Inetvideo also nailed me pretty well with HD-DVDs because I foolishly started buying them at $4.99 to $5.99 each only to see them go down to $3.99, $2.99, $1.99, and some to 99c each. I was afraid they'd run out and bought them too early, but they stilll seem to have plenty. So at this point I'd only buy HD-DVDs at $1.99 or less, and there aren't enough left I want at that price to make $50 for free shipping.

fixed.
I keep wondering why a company that has their own website has such a ridiculous way of calculating shipping. I don't even bother with them anymore, unless someone posts a really great deal. Some fellow DVD Talkers pointed this out sometime ago in their dedicated sticky thread and their rep said he'd look into it. Next thing I noticed their sticky disappeared. You can lead a horse to water ...

Vicky CB Blu has gone up to $9.99. The $6.99 was what interested me.
