I browsed anyway since I'd driven out, then left emptyhanded.

Are the Christmas CDs & DVDs still 75% off or did they raise them back up for the big sale?
I'll be going to one on Thursday and was just wondering.

I walked in, looked at the absurd line running down the aisle and walked out. Nothing worth an hour of my time I decided.

The store here had a more than ample supply of 360s and PS3s -- no Wiis or DSes. I went in specifically looking for a DS or I never would have noticed.

As I mentioned in another thread, I saw a new, sealed Nintendo Gamecube at the local CC. Also, a lot of Apple peripherals were available. I'll probably check back on those later.

I was pretty happy there walking out with "How I Met Your Mother" S3 and "Wild Wild West" S2 for 50 bucks. Only thing that was awful were the lines. All because everything had to be hand keyed in and the cashiers were armed with calculators to figure the percentage off.

I know that 'the joy of the hunt' has some intrinsic value, but just wanted to point out that the current 'deals' at CC can be matched a lot of places online, whether at retailers like DD or Amazon or at AmazonMarketplace or half.com.
I sell online and at flea market...we sell sealed copies of WWW2, for instance, for $25. Again, not wanting to be a party pooper, but I'm being careful about jumping in on the CC fiasco. I'm still bummed that we were so busy during the CC 30% off CD sale a couple of weeks back that I didn't get to go to our neighboring CC and fill in some holes. Reading previous posts has confirmed that, predictably, people are buying CDs at 10-20% off that they ignored at 30% off. I imagine that most anything I would have gotten 3 weeks ago will be gone by the time the discounts reach 30% again (sigh).
Anyway, I'm sure that the occasional deal can be found at CC; however, if I were looking for a specific item, I'd search for it online first.
Remember...it's going to be hard to take any defective products back to CC for a refund/exchange. Are all sales final or do they still guarantee products if you check them out pretty quickly (before the doors close permanently)?

I'm hoping that when the discounts get high, there will still be a digital SLR available.
We'll see.

Still a few months away, but if you've waited this long anyway (like I have), what's a few more ???

In Henderson, NV no. There was a big sign saying 75% off I grabbed Polar Express which was on the list and when the cashier rang it up there was no discount.

Dropped by mine yesterday, found a couple movies I was interested in, but their checkouts are lousy and the lines were going to the back of the store. No thanks, I figured I could get those titles from DD next 20% off sale, maybe even cheaper.

I have a hard time of getting a DVD at a 20% discount, and pay someone in a red shirt who is about to lose his/her job, because of me making the purchase. I guess I think too rational.

That's not rational. They are going to lose their job regardless of how much you, or anybody else, buys.

I drove by my local CC, saw the amount of cars outside and kept driving. There's really nothing I'm looking for anyway, but I'm not gonna waste my time trying to look through things only to find one or two things I might want. And there was no way I was gonna stand in Black Friday type lines for stuff.

Not sure iwhen it was supposed to end, but I was able to score a copy of the 2-disc 40th Anniversary Edition DVD of Sound of Music yesterday for $4 + tax yesterday. So I know that at least that one is still ringing up 75% off before the 20% off discount.

Not wanting to threadcrap, burnside, or spoil your find, but Amazon has WWWS2 for $28.99 and HIMYMS3 for $22.49 (total $51.48) with no time spent driving to store/waiting in line or gas spent. Also, you have 30 days to return the items.
