I believe the everyday price is $17 apiece now at the warehouse clubs. And FYE has them for $10 after MIR. Linky

Just got back. The Blu-Ray and DVD section is pretty much wiped out today.

Re: Circuit City Liquidation Deals (post your finds here)

Still quite a few DVD's. The BD's have been picked pretty clean. I picked up Music and Lyrics at $17.50 for my daughter and Wyatt Earp at $12.50 for me at 50% off. Both were a few dollars less than Amazon but not huge deals.

As I was leaving I did notice they had an LG 200(?) combo player for $223. I was kind of intrigued. Didn't know how much they are going for on the secondary market these days.

^^^BD catalog titles at 50% off is still not a deal because many of them can be found at Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's at that price level.

The CC nearest to me (Fairfax, VA) is still pricing the BDs at 30% off. I guess this store is planning on staying open for awhile yet because they've been posting signs all over about certain items being new stock.

The warehouse clubs around here only have seasons 1, 2, and 3. And I'm not a fan of mail-in rebates.

50% off blu-rays is the pricepoint to break the "deal" barrier i'd say gman. I picked up The Last samurai, The Rock and the Shining $12.50 each on blu-ray. There are a few items that arent worth it yet such as bluray seasons but the next drop i think its fair to say everything will be a good deal...problem is it will all be gone

What do you guys think the likelihood is of CCs getting more stuff? A lot of you are reporting stores that aren't moving merch, do you think they'll shift it to stores that are doing good business?

The point I was trying to make is I don't consider it a good deal IF I can get it for the same price any day of the week i.e. Wyatt Earp and a bunch of other Warner titles are $12.50 at Costco. Costco has The Last Samurai at $19.99 so $12.50 is a good deal. Not sure about the other two titles you picked up - my memory sucks. And Sam's Club has a few Lionsgate titles at $10. For newer titles though, yeah 50% off is the starting point where I'd consider it a good deal. But only for titles I can't get on HD DVD.

True, but since we have no Costco around here and BJ's and Sam's club requires a membership, 50% off is pretty good. Any title somone mentions can probably be found somewhere at some point as cheap or cheaper. The thing is I was able to walk in to a retail building and walk out with a couple titles cheaper than Amazon so I consider that a decent buy. Granted 60% is where the real deals starts but I doubt much would be left by that time.

I recently bought a quad core dell. You got a better deal then me, but I got XP!! I had a similar experience with my office install; including all service packs & patches office 2000 installed in around 5 minutes.

Re: Circuit City Liquidation Deals (post your finds here)

I just trekked out to a farther away one and scored the five seasons of Curb I don't have for $17.50 apiece. Score. I was gonna go to a different one even farther out, but after I blew $100 at the first one, I figured I should just go home.

ETA: Ugh. Predictably, not as good a deal as I thought (they're $15.99 apiece on Amazon except for the last one which is $28.99), but at least I didn't lose money.

I saw several Comedy Central shows for 10 bucks like Mind of Mencia, but I wasn't in the mood. I know I'll never watch it even though I liked the show... And Rambo III BD would have been $10, but that isnt all that great for a Lionsgate title...

BD's are now 50% off in RSM. I saw Kill Bill 1 & 2 on BD there, for only $30, but I feel like waiting for the eventual set. It's gotta come sometime. If they're still there next weekend I might bite.

Re: Circuit City Liquidation Deals (post your finds here)

I picked up the CEOT3K Blu-Ray for $17.50 even though I don't have a HDTV or Blu-Ray player. I did the same thing with DVD, buying Saving Private Ryan months before I bought a player.

I also got:

The Accused ($3.50)
Used Cars ($3.50)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 2-disc with lithographs ($15)

Most of the WB Blu-Ray titles are cheaper from the WB store if you use the 25% coupon. The Fox Blu-Rays are the best deals IMO. I picked up a few of them for $15.

Re: Circuit City Liquidation Deals (post your finds here)

Went back to my store today to get the Joni Mitchell cd I saw yesterday that I thought i already had. Fortunately it was still there. $7 for a 2007 release isn't bad. (50% off cd/dvd)

The folks mentioning that product is moving from store to store are correct; they had twice the dvd's today they had yesterday. Unfortunately most of it was TV box sets which are usually not my thing. Only one of interest to me was Boondocks S2, & $20 was still too high for me.

I was told my store is closing in 9 days. I was also told no further markdowns on cd/dvd, but I don't believe it.
