Have you noticed the BR section even getting smaller?
I've been to 3 different CCs in the past week. There was nothing at any of them that was NOT discounted.

The discounts vary depending on where you are and what store you go to. 44 stores are closing on February 16th, so their discounts are more aggressive than those closing in a month or more.
All of the stores in the Detroit market except for Ann Arbor are closing on the 16th.

I think all bets are off since they said they're going under. Some folks in this thread (methinks) said they're not even honoring what they said they'd do (like take returns).

Is there a list of these stores? My CC nearest me doesnt even have phone anymore. You call and it says its disconnected. I'd like to know if they're taking rewards coupons (my guess is no) but I really don't want to DRIVE there to find out.

Do you mean the ones from the rewards credit card? If so, then yes...they are treated as gift cards, which can be used until the store closes.

That and I keep reading reports that they're boxing up their Blu-rays and sending them back for credit and the blus is what I was wanting to get

How long before the stores close for good?
I have Gift Card that can only be used at a store which I need to use but the nearest store is about 1hr 15mins away.

Is there anything good left at the one by Lakeside? I plan on going on Saturday, just before they close. Just to see if they have anything obscure.

My store now has a everything 10% - 70% off sign. DVDs and Video Games were only 50%, but there's hardly anything left worth getting. All the big screen tvs were all gone. I'd guess the store will have it's doors closed within 2 weeks. There's already 2 big dumpsters in the parking lot.

If you're referring to the Shelby Twp, MI store, all I picked up there Tuesday was 1 CD and an XBOX 360 game. There were no movies I found that I wanted, but they still had some.

Stopped by last night. Movies and games, 40% off and there were still a shit load of both left. Picked up Tudors Season 1 for $18.

Picked up S6 of Scrubs yesterday; the kicker to the visit was that the checkout lady asked me for my customer info!
@ $21 it was about the price of the used sets on Amazon, so it was alright. Interestingly, it was in the same place I tucked it away in a few weeks ago: behind a stack of single-disc copies of TDK.

I haven't been in CC for about 2 weeks. Went in today and they had moved everything around, more towards the center of the store.
Very surprised how little they had in dvds left. Basically gone was all the tv series. They had a ton of Jeepers Creepers dvds for some reason.
I picked up two titles at 40% off.
Spiderwick Chronicles 2 disc set for $14.99 (Sticker price $24.99)
Dragon Wars $5.99 (Sticker said $19.99, but it must have been really around $9.99)
So you can't really go by the sticker on some titles.
Gone were all the 3-disc Hancock sets. They had one of those Meet the Spartans set with the T-Shirt, with a sticker price of $21.99.

One funny thing I've seen is, of the 3 stores I hit this week, all three had at least 3-5 copies of the latest Dragonforce CD Ultra Beatdown still sitting there among the CD remnants at 50% off.

Was going to pick up some blank dvds. 24.99 the cheapest for a 50 pack?
Yeah, sure...
I couldn't believe the inventory of dvds, though (there were hardly any left and it was only 40% off as of now). Actually I can believe it - I can just imagine Joe Six's "racking up" at 10% off.
I was about to bite on There Will Be Blood 2 Disc and walked with it for a good five minutes before putting it back in a 'random' place (hoping no one would find it later on when/if the % goes up.
)

%40 off of games is pretty good for certain games.
Heads up I got Okami for Wii for $12 @ %40 off even though the sticker was $40.

For those in East Central Illinois, Champaign's Circuit City is up to 40% for DVDs and BluRays, as well as video games and CDs.
I grabbed Gears of War 2 (36 bucks) and a couple of CDs I wanted (8 bucks a pop). I'll hold out for a few more weeks before going back to see what might be left.

THe Louisville, KY store is 40 percent off, too. I picked up Rock Band 2.
And imagine my surprise when I saw, of all things, HD-DVD copies of "The Departed" and "Enter the Dragon". They also had around 200 copies of the single disc DVD "I Am Legend".

Re: Circuit City Liquidation Sale Thread All Remaining U.S. Stores Starting 1/17/2009
Like I noted in the other thread, on Wed at 30% off, my local CC still had a ton of DVD's / Blu-Ray's / video game... including stuff like Left 4 Dead, Fable 2, Gears 2, Mirrors Edge, Fallout 3, all the holiday releases.
Went back on Fri when the prices rolled to 40%, and almost everything is gone. It's like everybody had the same idea to wait one more percent drop before swooping in on everything :O
I'm surprised at the amount of wii games left though, including about 8 copies of De Blob and Wario, both of which are pretty good.
At this rate, when the store rolls over to 50% by this coming Thurs, I don't think there will be anything left worth getting.
I will take a look at the PC Games though.. even at 40% off, no one is buying them!!
I've got a feeling this store will (sadly) be closed by the end of the month.. I'll miss it

Sorry if this has been answered before, but do any CC stores accept reward certs.? I received a $5 one in the mail the other day and usually don't go much to CC since they are 30 mins. + away from where I live, but I thought if I have other errands in that direction it might be worth to go there.

I know they are still accepting CC gift cards.

Thanks for the answer. Reward certs. are the same as Best Buy have (you use CC credit card to earn them).
