Braveheart 2 disc SE $5 @ WM!

found this one just now at the brunswick, maine wally world. it's not in the dump bin and not in the paramount $5 display (single disc is actually in the display).

this 2 disc SE was in the $9/$13 rack, with a brand new shelf tag dated 12/31/08 at the $5 price, rang up as such at the register, great deal!

Wow!
That's a steal. You didn't happen to notice if anything else on the $9 rack had been reduced did you?

Cool. Thanks for the info.

I will be stopping by the local Wal Mart here shortly. Hopefully they'll have that Braveheart.

Just got back from checking a couple of Wal Marts here in the Memphis area and nothing. The Braveheart SE's were on the $13 rack and had not been marked down. I even took a couple to one of the price scanners and checked.

But, it wasn't a complete waste as I finally found a copy of Believers Unrated on the $5 rack with an elusive mint slipcover and finally found a Scorsese Collection with no floaters!

Wonder if I should finally bite on this since the 'unannounced' BD was bounced/cancelled.

I wouldn't have seen this if it'd been in the Wal-Mart thread. Thanks OP. I will pull the trigger since the Blu-Ray has been put on hiatus...

I imagine from how this sounds that it was a local pricematching deal...but maybe I'm wrong, I'd be okay with that.

Woooo, found it! Came in the ugly golden "Awards edition" slipcover, but oh well! I've been wanting to buy this forever and don't have a best buy near me.

I keep seeing people mentioning Zodiac at WM in various threads. What's the deal on that one? Is it in the $5 bin or a special display?

special display--unless you have a store that hates special displays and automatically dumps them into the bin (one near me does that...which is very annoying)

Picked up Braveheart at mine. No price tag but I took it to a price checker and indeed it was $5. Thanks OP!

Nice find! I got the next to last one at one of the stores here. It has a floater (both did) but as I was already in the store and didn't want to go across town to the other one I snagged a copy. I'll check the other store in a day or two (it's actually closer to my house but I was going by the other one anyway) on a "regular" trip just in case.

Update:
Couldn't wait. Drove over to the other WM (1.5 miles) to take a look. 1 copy left and it, too, had a floater. Purchased MASH Season 1 for $14.95 and came home. Opened Braveheart to find the floater was the disk with the special features and had no damage! So... a win/win!

Thanks, I was able to find one at my Super Walmart. The regular Walmart didn't even have a shelf space for Braveheart.

I gotta go back and check the local Wal Marts. As many that are turning up now it's gotta be a all across the board reduction.

Thanks for the info on Forrest Gump iacon45.
I'm gonna have to check into that one too as I've been holding off buying it for far too long.
