This one's not even close for me.

The April Columbia House buy 1 get 4 FREE was without a doubt the greatest deal I have gotten in 7 years from DVDTalk.

You could buy a blu-ray for $21 to $30 and get 4 dvds free (including Criterions). After placing around 15 orders, I wound up with

31 DVDs
13 Blu-rays
Cheers boxset
for $50 out of pocket
after selling the rest on amazon.

I picked up a ton of great used Criterions for about $7 each in March from several Hollywood Video stores that went out of business.

I also got some great new Criterions and other titles for free from the Pepsi Stuff promotion.

The best deal may have been the six Dragon Dynasty titles that I got for less than $20 total from the FYE BOGO bin last month.

Thanks for the tips DVD Talkers! I hope 2009 is another great year!

The $10 off Blockbuster's used DVDs was awasome.

Like many others on here, even though this site saves me a ton of money, it also costs me a ton of money! (I'm not complaining though.)

I would say the Complete Twilight Zone Collection at DD that came out to about $105.00 was my best buy this year.

Thanks to everyone that posts on here.

Since no one's mentioned them, I'd like to count the Redbox free rental codes among the best deals.

Rock Band 2 TRU deal. I PM'd at CC and while I didn't get a gift card, I managed to sell the game, an RMA'd wired RB1 guitar, mic and drum sticks for $70. That means I got a brand new RB2 wireless guitar and wireless drumset for $30.

The 24 Best Buy deal would have to be my best deal of the year.
The X Files Collection 117.00@ Costco
Prince Caspian Bluray for 9.99@Sears
Transformers Bluray 9.99@Best Buy

I somehow didn't hear about B1 get 4 Columbia House deal. I've been a member for years but almost never purchase; the deals they email me are usually worse then everyday prices at BB & Amazon. Do I need to check the Columbia House thread rather then just monitoring this board?

^ Yes, if you want to do Columbia House, you should follow the Club forum here.

All of my favorite deals have been mentioned several times, so I just want to give a big thanks to Speedy1961, Punit, Mnementh, and all the other deal posters!

So many great deals thanks to the people here. The $10 off blockbuster.com deal was awesome. With 50% off and Reward Zone certificates, I got The Wire complete series for $77. The 24 deal of course. Those are the first that come to mind!

10 new BD's from Amazon for $57.80 total. Best deal of the year, by far.

there was a $20 off $20 paypal coupon at buy.com that was supposed to be for certain items. I got it to work 2x with the 2 disk Step Brothers and the 2 disk Pineapple Express (shipped sat.)

also, the Tropic Thunder 2 disk from CC. I still can't find that damn PSA. I feel like Simple Jack.

I forgot about the clusterf*ck that was Borders.com and their mistake. I got Heroes season 2 for about 15 bucks, and my brother got I Love Lucy series boxset for $40.

Does the coupon still work? Those are two movies on my to-buy list and I'd kill to get them that cheap. Damn.

Re: Thank You DVDTALK and Members-Share Your Best Deal of the Year.

The B1 G4 was great except that Columbia House caught on and charged me the full price for the last two transactions (out of 4). So it was not a good deal for me over all.

unfortunately, it only worked for about 10 minutes about a month ago. I was on fatwallet and most the people there could not get it to work. I was one of the lucky few that did.

Best Buy's deal on 24. Because the cashier was clueless, she took the $15 discount off season 1 as well. I was charged some extra tax, but didn't want to revisit the transaction to fix it. Bottom line: Seasons 1-5 of 24 out the door for $17.xx.

Re: Thank You DVDTALK and Members-Share Your Best Deal of the Year.

It had to be Blockbusters $10 off $10 for me. 86 DVD's for $26.50 is pretty hard to beat lol.
