I think Amazon just waits until I buy something the week before, then knocks $5-$10 off the item a week later.

Anytime. Although technically, January 4th. Amazon routinely will take their titles off sale or increase the prices before the expiration date. In some cases, the prices can also drop.

It's basically like buying stocks on the stock market. Only you know for yourself if it's a deal.

I figured as much. I'll keep my eye on it.

Good deal on the Criterions. I wish I could be confident if I cancelled my DDD order it would actually be cancelled!

Anyone know if these come in the three standard Blu-ray cases... or if it's those slim Matrix cases? (Since this is New Line/Warner.)

EDIT: Apparently they are the slim/matrix style cases. Image is thanks to House over on AVS Forum.

^ Each of the movies comes in a slim case and since the price is right, I'll pick up a second set for my brother.

Is it true that there are no special features on the discs for the first and second films? Only Goldmember has features? If so, I'll hold onto my DVDs until the special features are included on the Blu-rays.

I also have the set and seem to remember a mention of supposed new special features when this was announced. I was a bit disappointed to see that there are actually no new special features. Well at least they didn't leave any of the old features out like some studios like to do.
