I paid around $25 for them. Weren't those $16.99 per set minus $75 ? How did you get them for $17 ?

There's no reason to bring this up every damn time someone posts a deal on 24 sets. Seriously, it's the equivalent of a threadcrap. I also got some of my seasons that way, but this deal that was posted was a great deal for people that want to get the show, and it's not likely to be beat any time in the near future.

As for how drmoze got them for so cheap, chances are it was one of the situations where the cashier in the store royally screwed up how to enter the discount, and wound up refunding too much on too little. There were reports of people buying the sets at the same time as other things, and getting too many instant rebates applied, and winding up getting the 24 sets for almost free--I think one person claimed he/she made money off them.

He might have used a rewards zone certificate or a gift-card. That was my immediate assumption. Some people don't add that to their total cost.

That would be idiocy. Spending something that has a cash value that can't be spent again and again is the same as spending cash. Just another thing that pisses me off on these boards. Why can't people just post about actual DVD Bargains? And don't even get me started about people that start posting about how they only spent $2 per DVD by using their DVDPlanet-or-whatever credit.

Stargate SG-1 Complete Series Set only $.10!
$99 Amazon gold box, 10% Amazon sellers' discount, $39 in gift cards, and my mom gave me $50 for my birthday!
Awesome deal! Everybody should get it!

There was a buy one for $16.99, get additional seasons for 1.99 at BB. They meant that you could buy S1 and get one additional set for 1.99 but the ad said additional seasons.

OMG!!! What a rip off.

I made 72 dollars on them last summer.

You see I was in best buy. I found a hundred dollar bill lying on the floor. I bought the first six seasons for 28 bucks and kept 72... Now that's a deal

I made seventy-two dollars. WOOOHOOOO

sense sarcasm.

Didn't know that one post would cause so much discussion since the deal was "sold out" very quickly.

Good deal for those that want them, but what is this trend that's starting where "megasets" are released for non-complete series. Family Guy has had two and now this one. I know there have been packaging where the single seasons were lumped together (and I see that as different), but to have "special packaging" like this is really ludicrous. The studios really want die-hard fans to double-dip this much!

Maybe it's not a trend yet, but if it continues, then this is where it started!
