Loved the movie, have seen bits of an episode or three, and one full episode (a recent one I believe). Enjoyed the episode, think I would like the whole series.

Usually, this would be an instant buy for me. But multiple complaints about damaged disks and an unwatched mountain of TV seasons are keeping me from hitting "buy".

I got this last time it was $100. And yes, at least half the discs will be scratched.

I was hesitant to buy this last time as well, but when I received it I had very few scratches - and none that affected playback. I think it's pretty hit-or-miss, though it seems like they do a good job of replacing scratched ones.

Disc manyfacturer. They come scratched and pitted straight from the factory, believe it or not.

I'm probably done with these complete series sets for awhile. I would love to have jumped on this one since I could probably sell my individual sets for the same price (or more) than Amazon's price, but, I swear it seems like they use rejects from the first pressings to stick in these series sets. Well, that's when the packaging isn't so awful that the discs have to be scratched.

I just swapped out 36 discs from the Charmed set with Paramount and more than half of the ones they sent back were scratched as well. Just not worth the hassle. Still waiting to hear about how to get discs from the Cosby set replaced... I guess that's a "feature" of the individual sets - discs that don't look used.

I bought this set when it was on sale for $116.99. None of the discs were scratched but you do need to exercise some care removing and replacing the discs in the cardboard sleeves used in the box. I wasn't crazy about the packaging, but I suppose if they had used hubs the box would have to have been a good deal larger. So I finally managed to see SG1 from start to finish. A great series I must say. If you have a problem with the discs just get Amazon to replace the set.

Guess it depends on how much you want to spend. The cheapest I've ever seen the individual season sets are 17.99 each, though you might come across a deal that would make them cheaper the more you buy (but I don't know of any currently.)

I really want the bonus discs, but am having a hard time convincing myself to sell my old sets for this, especially with the disc issues. I wish I knew someone with it so I could just borrow the bonus discs. They aren't on Netflix are they?

I let this deal pass this time but might be interested if it comes back again. Let us know the conditions of the disks. I'm curious if any of the complaints has changed anything.
