There could actually be a good deal on Lost S4 BD if they have the correct list price ($69.99).

beavis69 12-14-08 09:53 AM

Yea thats what i was checking out. I dont have a membership but see that i can sign up for one online. If i do that and dont have my card, do i just give them my telephone number or something and they can look it up?

Memberships are free and once you sign up you don't need the card. I lost mine and they just look it up in their system.

I was thinking the same thing, but I was in a Borders last night and the SRP was a whopping $79.

Can you use manufacturer coupons on those DVDs at Borders? Like Disney 3$ off any dvd or $10 off blu-ray ?

In the spirit of their online store, they hid all stock in the back room early this morning.

if anyone is wanting LOST season 4 on blu ray from borders, GO NOW! I just got back...

the sticker said it was $79.99... and my 40% off coupon should make it ring up at about $48.00 or so... I decided to go for it...

instead it rang up at $59.99... then she scanned my coupon & it took 40% off of that amount! I got lost season 4 blu ray for under $40.00 after tax!!!!!

Thanks for the tip!

I brought in an article about the list price change from $96.99 to $69.99.

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Los...e-Change/10756

A manager gave me 40% off the $69.99 price. YMMV.

dx23 12-14-08 04:25 PM

Has somebody else double checked the $59.99 price?

ScissorPuppy 12-14-08 05:06 PM

Is the "To kill a mockingbird" legacy release considered a box set?
It would be nice to get this under 20 bucks.

whotony 12-14-08 05:32 PM

no it is not.

DVD Guy ATL 12-14-08 06:10 PM

"Dark Knight" Blu-ray for under $23 incl. tax... better than Amazon.

I want to know if this is really true and if someone else has been able to get it at that price. I'm really interested to get it.

I think it was probably a seasonal employee dealing w/ the crowds and not following store protocol; it's currently 25% off, new release temporary price point = $59.99. Stacking the 40% coupon with that discount is dicey and definitely against store/coupon stipulations, so I would think that was simply a one-time-only mistake. Sorry!

DVDealer 12-14-08 07:15 PM

Timing for us living here in Portland (just moved here) really sucks when most of us are snowed in these two days there... And I was looking forward to getting stuff from Borders without paying sales tax!

That's definitely how I see it. Doesn't hurt to try though, but I wouldn't make a special trip to Borders just to find out.

Amex Wishlist deal for $15 back on $60 would stack great with this deal, making it great for just about anything. And, the Amex thingie works on in store purchases like this coupon dealio.

http://mywishlist.amexnetwork.com

These seem to be just about gone from 6PM today, but still show as available at 3:22PM / Pacific 6:22 PM Eastern on 12/15.

I got the Lost BD for $35. The set was scanning for $59.99, so unless the cashier did a manual override for the $79.99 tag, the set would always scan for the lower price.
