The desperation of our nation's DVD retailers is killing me. I too, thought my November/December DVD buying spree was over.

Went for Band of Brothers ($25.99), The Earth to the Moon Signature Edition $19.99, and the two-disc version of The Right Stuff ($10.99).

Count me in ... never seen it ... heard great things about it ... still waiting for Deadwood for under $25 per season.

Probably about the best price ever on this set (not counting the Target $5.99 clearance mistake 2 years ago), even though I got my set for 23.79, but it was a B1G1 deal from B&N.

Highly recommended, awesome set, and has great replay value. Get it if you don't have it already!

Actually, looking at my order history, I bought this set from Amazon last year for $25 (plus free Super-Saver Shipping). As I recall, it was a Gold Box deal, and, coincidentally, was also on December 10.

Edit: Yup, here we go: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-bargain...y-12-10-a.html

It's good enough for me. I've been wanting this for a while but DD seems to always raise the price of this one just before one of the sales and I missed last years' Amazon sale... Not this time! This should be required viewing for any US citizen not old enough to have experienced WWII first hand.

This is a good deal. I bought this last year for $25, sold it last week for ~$45 on ebay and bought the Blu-ray this past weekend for $43. I've had 2 good holiday seasons thanks to Amazon.

I missed it last year and I missed it this year ... guess I'll mark my calendar for next December 10! The other one I keep missing is the Alien Quadrilogy ...
