Amazon Save $100 on Blu-Ray Player with 4 Blu-Rays deal updated (was $75)

I just noticed that Amazon's Save $100 when you purchase a blu-ray player + 4 blu-ray deal from Amazon has just been updated to include some new models of players (12 currently).

Including the Panasonic DMP-BD35K 1080p Blu-ray Player - $228.76

I think this was a new model as well: Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray Player $212.74

So I ordered the Panasonic DMP-BD35K, Constantine, Batman Begins, Batman Gotham Knight, and Goodfellas for a total of $205.72

Here is the link:

Best,
Trev

Glad they brought the deal back. I already have the Panasonic DMP-BD55K in my cart waiting to pull the trigger, but the selection of titles isn't helping. I'd end up spending $80 on tiltles I don't want or otherwise need to save $20.

I knew they'd bring this back. It is a great deal but the selection appears less than before. I can't find two disc I want let alone four. I'll still bite if the selection improves.

For anyone buying a Panasonic player you can get an additional 2 movies by rebate from Panasonic. The movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas and Ratatouille.

I'm confused as to why the Onkyo players are a part of this deal given that neither one is a Blu-ray player.

Hey thats pretty cool.

So my dad just got a 1080p TV and is itching for a Bluray, is this the best deal around? I'll just tell him to get the Panasonic. He almost bit on the Sony Sears had for $180 but we as a family, hate Sony (and like Panasonic).

Thanks, OP! I bit the bullet and finally went BLU! I can't believe it!

I ordered:

Sony BDP-S550 1080p Blu-ray Player, Superman - The Movie [Blu-ray], Superman Returns [Blu-ray], Batman Begins [Blu-ray], and Speed Racer (Three-Disc Special Edition + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray], all for $299.08 shipped!

I'm so excited! I'll be picking up The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray next Tuesday, and I received Meet The Robinsons on Blu-Ray from a Disney promotion, some time back (I was actually supposed to get the DVD version, but, they sent the Blu-Ray by mistake). So, I will have a few titles to watch, right off the bat, as soon as my player arrives. Now, to get the HDTV to play it on. For the time being, I'll just hook it up, via component video, to my 27" Sony Trintron set, which should give me a decent enough picture.

The deal is for the Panny BD35 only. Also, Disney confirmed that online merchant receipts are "good to go" for the two free BDs.

Damn. This is very tempting...if the BD55 worked for the 2 free offer as well I'd do it, but aside from BB and SR they I don't really want any of the other films offered.

Panny BD35 is up to $239 and can be ordered, but shows it ships in 1 to 2 months. Ten minutes ago there were 4 in stock and then after that they were going to be more on Dec. 6th - now a couple of months.

Who actually knows? I still would like a few other movies to be added before I bite on it.

I think at the lowest it's been right around the $210 mark.

It hit $206 right before it was pulled from this sale 2 months ago... It has dropped $1 twice today. Could be $206 again by the end of the night. I'll buy at $207. I'm playing the market.

so as someone who would like to hop the blu-ray wagon for cheap, which would be the better deal, Panasonic 35 or Samsung 1500?

key info:

- 5.1 speakers and 1080i tv (i'm not a graphics or audio aficionado so i'm not upgrading either)
- don't care about disc extras like commentaries and BD live
