I don't believe this is true... I own and compared both (Pioneer Kuro (6010)) and have found them to be equal, being that they both have issues and I would give them the same rating as far as quality goes because of that.

Although I'm happy that the T2 version I bought is uncut and has lossless audio(for total recall as well), I wouldn't pass up this $10 deal.

Both total recall and T2 are encoded MPEG 2 for US compared to VC-1, there are differences, but like I said, both versions of Total Recall are flawed. I would buy whatever you can get cheaper.

As I said, I have not seen the American discs. Even if picture quality is equal (obviously opinions differ on that), I would choose the British T2 for the DC and both British titles for lossless audio. I'd pay a little more for them (which I did, compared to the $10 deal for the American blu-rays; although at the time I bought them I saw no better prices for the American versions).

Is the Reservoir Dogs Blu-ray worth picking up? I've read a few lukewarm reviews for it.

The latest version I have is the Tenth Anniversary DVD with the different slipcovers and the shoddy transfer.

Should I go ten bucks for the Blu-ray, or would I be better off getting the Fifteenth Anniversary (aka "Gas Can") DVD the next time it's on sale for $3.99?

If you're going to upgrade to the 15th Anniv. version anyway, you might as well get the BR for $6 more. I can't see its quality being WORSE than the DVD.

I saw all these titles this morning. I already have most on DVD so I couldn't justify buying any of them. After reading the comments about Total Recall and T2, are there any that constitute upgrading from DVD.

Picked up Saw 1 & 2 yesterday. The new Wal-Mart Supercenter at Abrams & Forest Lane in Dallas had plenty of all of them when I was there last night.

I read multiple reviews of all of the BD's on sale for $10 at Walmart and it appears the "most worthy" ones to purchase were Stargate and Reservoir Dogs.

I just want to let everyone know that Paypal has $20 cashback offer for the purchase of $50 or more on walmart.com. If you have Paypal account and complete the payment through paypal you get $20 cash back. 5 blu-ray for $30+tax ( $50+tax - $20) not a bad deal.

Even if T2 and Total Recall are inferior to the UK versions, the question still remains, are the US BD's worthy upgrades from the SD?

Someone had said you need to have received an email about this promotion to get it. Can anyone confirm this?

I believe they are but I haven't seen them. Some think they're worth the upgrade, some don't. But the issue still remains with T2 that the US version is the theatrical cut.

Thanks. I just ordered Total Recall and T2. But not from WM. CH has them for $14.96 right now, and B1G1F. So I got both for 14.96 shipped... They also have First Blood, Stargate, and Short Circuit for 14.96 in case anyone else has a CH account...

I'll pick up the Saw movies at WM for 10 bucks...

I saw all of these at my local store. I decided to pass on Saw since it has no extras. I got Saw II and Reservoir Dogs since they have extra features that are all in HD.

Re: LionsGate $10 Blu Rays at Wal-mart

I think I'll pick up Reservoir Dogs at Amazon. It's $11.99, but that will beat the $10 with tax and the gas $ spent driving to Walmart.

One of a handful of titles I regret having "upgraded" to Blu-Ray. My Mars Tin CE was better

I used it once on a dvd I bought with a gift card that had a few bucks on it. Never again will I use it. I got the confirmation that it had arrived, printed out everything I needed and still spent 20+ minutes waiting/arguing with the idiot at the counter that it was back there. Eventually I had it in my hands.

I agree this function blows! It tends to take much longer in getting your item to you! If I were you I would avoid using it if at all possible.

What is TIER 2 -SILVER?!?!?!

I'm really hoping you mean this, but it isn't $10 online like the original batch was at first...

One title that I haven't seen at Walmart is The Ultimate Avengers Collection. Saw it at FYE B&M and Amazon for $12.99. The Backstage Pass knocked it down to $11.70 and I had a GC so I picked it up.

Yeah what Gman said.Blu's the highest then gold,silver..etc..

I did not see 'Universal Soldier' listed at AVS.

Theres at least one other site that does rankings, but I lost that link..for now.

Wow, thanks for that. I had no idea. I need to check out AVSforum more often. That's actually really good info to know...
