I checked their trade-in prices for a couple of Blu-rays that I'm going to sell and even with 20-25% extra credit I can get more at secondspin.com. This is obviously a limited sample, but I would suggest checking both places to see if the 20-25% extra is worth it.

Thanks for posting the deal bwsmom. I don't mean to rag on the deal, but I know you've posted deals for secondspin and wherehouse in the past so I thought you might want to know to check those places to compare to this one.

I don't mind one bit if you post that you found a better deal elsewhere! That's what gets us all the best bargains, right? Believe me, if I get word from wherehouse and/or second spin that they're going to be upping their trade credit, I'll be headed right back to DVDTalk to let you all know. In the meantime, thanks very much for the info!

You guys would probably be better off going in-store to a Transworld store to do the trades. In-store they offer 25% bonus to Secondspin's values for credit, or a bonus 45% if you pre-order a game.

One good example in why Secondspin/Wherehouse/In-store is better than Spun w/ 25% bonus:

http://www.spun.com/music/sell-produ....jsp?id=901580

http://www.wherehouse.com/music/sell....jsp?id=901580

The cd is $5 shipped on Amazon.

I don't think we have any Transworld stores left in our area.

Bump for the last day. There's a few movies from my sell pile that they accept and Secondspin/FYE and DVDplanet don't.

Just got an email from them... looks like they extended it an extra day, since it now says "Offer Expires 11/26/08."
