Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Lots of new stuff at the Cary, NC store. I got:

Disorderlies
Eyes of a Stranger
Eating Raoul
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story - Widescreen Theatrical cut (I already had this, but it was the Rated/Unrated with no features, so I got this anyway)

A few others that I didn't see mentioned above:
Tsui Hark's Vampire Hunters
Devour
Rise: Blood Hunter (forgot if it was unrated or not)
The Quiet (Elisha Cuthbert)

I recommend everyone get Dewey Cox if you don't have it. One of the most unappreciated movies of the decade, in my opinion.

Which version of Eyes Wide Shut was it? Pretty sure the theatrical cut snapper, but just checking.

Thanks.

'Eyes Wide Shut' (snapper)
as for 'Walk Hard' - it's a complete piece of shit. And I love John C. and Judd Apatow - this was just terrible!

"The Quiet" excellent Camilla Belle and Cuthbert flick.

I'll see if I can find "Disorderlies" at my shop.

Hey, sorry about that. Wasn't supposed to be cryptic, I just couldn't remember.

I remember now though, it was Rumble Fish.

I also got a two-pack of the I Love Lucy Barbies, the episode with the chocolate, for my future mother-in-law.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Store closest to me got the Warner/Sony batch. Some good stuff, though all has been mentioned here. They unfortunately didn't get the following that have been mentioned above:

Boom Town
Oh, God!
Oh God!, You Devil
Mutiny on the Bounty
Ninotchka (for those not familiar with this, it was promoted as "Garbo Laughs"! It also features Bela Lugosi in a rare non heavy role. Good stuff!)

Which store had Frankenstein? I checked Hilliard today and they had nothing new (not much at all really).

I agree with you on this! Walk Hard was one of the funniest spoof comedies I've seen in a long time. John C. Riley was comic gold.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Went to the 2nd closest BL & hit a goldmine. They had everything mentioned above & more. 1 I saw that hasn't been mentioned was Bela Lugosi's Return Of The Vampire. I'm too tired to go through my purchases at the moment, but will post more titles soon.

Glad i called them; that particular store usually doesn't get to their dvd's until Sunday or Monday. As it was, the 2 tier display was barely touched when i got there.

I can't believe the quality of some of the films they're blowing out; the studios must be assuming dvd's are almost dead. I don't agree.........

I've been to the Clifton, NJ big lots and there really wasn't anything much, grabbed bubba ho tep and bucket of blood, this is going back a few months now though- it's a bit of a distance so I don't go there often. To anyone in NJ that knows that store do they ever get in anything worthwhile?

Did they have anymore To Sir With Love? I would be glad to pay tax and shipping if they do. Please let me know.
