Last year Best Buy drop a small ad much closer to BF, that added some decent deals to the mix. I don't remember there being many DVDs in that follow-up ad.

Also the list appears to be majorly incomplete -- it looks like they missed these at least:

DVD $6.99 / Blu-ray $16.99 deals
Love Guru
Cloverfield
Bank Job
Departed
Bee Movie
Superbad
Prom Night
300
Hitman
I Am Legend
Alien vs. Predator
Live Free or Die Hard
Rambo
Kung Fu Panda (Friday Only)
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull (Friday Only)

Oh well, thanks BB! I'll sleep in.

Don't sleep in! Buy online! That's what I'm doing this year. I realize not everything will be available, but a bunch of stuff should be. CC is even advertising web ID's with their products, so you know they'll be available online...

Apple products really dont budge all that much, they are more or less advertising it because it will be a hot buy this holiday season for gift giving... not because it is a special deal.

You do get a $20 gift card with the purchase, making it a (somewhat) better deal.

Damn,

I just bought Transformers Bluray a week ago, and already sent the rebate with the original receipt, so I can't even return it now.

How just one week changes things.
It's going to be half the price that I bought it for, and the Extended version is coming out too.(which I would have waited for since I also own the DVD)

It has been a bad week, first someone hits my parked car(how bad can the driver be) then I lost my wallet (lost over $100 and all of my cards including my license) Now this news, which normally would have been some annoyance, is making me actually be mad.

bad bad week

Well if Indiana Jones is $6.99, combine it with the $10 Orville Redenbacher rebate(buy 3 packages+DVD), and you can get paid to get the movie. Which, come to think of it, is probably the only way I would buy it...

I'll be going to Circuit City, with 70 DVD titles at 2.99, I'm bound to find 10-15 that i want and dont have. Also, Flags of our Fathers Blu-ray for 8.99 is calling my name.

I think CC's deals are very strong for a Black Friday, but Best Buy may have dropped the ball this year.

www.gottadeal.com (besides being a great site to find bargains year around) has the best black friday info. here's a link to the current ads they have:

http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/AdScans

you need to sign up with the site to view the actual ad scans (it's free) but you can click "ad item listing" to read what each store will have for sale.

they add to the store list as ads become available.

Does the ad read 1-8 Seinfeld seasons for $14.99?

Best Buy specified in their weekly sales ad this week that they DO NOT PM on Black Friday.

Ad says "BLU RAY ONLY" on those two titles, in case anyone missed that. So no 6.99 Indy.

*sigh* I hope this isn't ture. I was going to buff up my gaming this year, with and XBox 360, Possibly a PS3 and either a PSP or a DS.

Each one has different games I want to play. I guess if push comes to shove I can just spend the night in front of Best Buy to sale my spot away the next morning

Last year, my wife and I ordered one of the "Guitar Hero" bundles via Circuit City's website on Black Friday. It was a great deal, and we had a confirmation number before we could have even gotten into a brick & mortar store. A week later, though, we received a cancellation notice because they had oversold their online stock. That really sucked, because it was going to be a Christmas gift for our nephew. Just something to think about when going with the web instead of the store.

So much for my hope that the economy would force retailers into offering some great deals. These ads STINK.

Glad I can sleep in.

who would have thought that Best Buy would have such a crappy black friday ad ... it just looks like an ordinary sunday ad ... granted there are a few good movie deals but that pretty much it lol. Circuit City is the place to be this year
