I can't seem to get save to work... i called and they told me to use custserv and that would give me the discount aswell. But that doesn't work either.

Is there a working code other than 25% and save ?

I just received my order cancellation notice for the three Disney Treasures sets that come out on Nov. 11, stating that they'd been "discontinued." I guess the advice is "Don't waste your time trying to order these three."

Well, its now been two days and I have yet to receive an order confirmation email for either order placed on 11/6. I wouldn't be concerned, but it's still letting me use the codes multiple times which would seem to indicate that the orders didn't go through. And I haven't seen anything about payment not going through on Paypal. *scratches head*

You should have email confirmation from PayPal and if payment went through it will appear as paid on your PayPal account. If DVDPlanet disputes that there ever was an order, you can show them the transaction code.

They were entirely clueless about the set - as if it weren't even on the radar.
A week before the sale, I suspected something like this might happen and put in a request to update the release date for Get Smart. After the sale started I talked to 3 sales associates who all told me it was impossible to change a release date once it's input into the site and politely directed me to Deep Discount where it was "on sale for the same price." When I told them I wanted to use my store credit they said nothing could be done.

So I bit the bullet and ordered what appears to have been the last in-stock set at DD. Yeesh!

I hope this hasn't been asked already. Is it worth it to pay for shipping from DVD Planet? Is the standard worth it over economy (media mail)?

Also, if I were to upgrade to paid shipping, will they hold all my items and ship them together, or will they ship as they become available and in the upgraded shipping method?

Thanks, guys.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Standard shipping was only $33 so I paid it figuring it will save some hassle (I am extremely impatient and on the eastcoast.) A couiple of box sets were Out of Stock. They won't wait until everything is in stock to ship will they? I sure hope they send the other 36 things that are in stock now. Also, how exactly do they ship with standard? How many days?

Thanks!
Shane

Well, they're owned by the same company as DD, so you'll probably get the shaft just like DD's policy seems to indicate. It's bad enough they take forever to restock items, but then they think it's ok to stick you with that media mail shit after you paid for expedited? COME ON!

Yea, I'm aware of DeepDiscount's stupid policy BUT they charge flat rate for expedited, don't they? DVDPlanet charges expedited by item, albeit at a discounted rate after the first item, so I would HOPE that each item would be sent via the upgraded method.

I should also add that I can't get *********, ******, or cashbaq to redirect to DVDPlanet's website! What's up with that?!

ETA: to the censorship. I won't circumvent it, but it's one that was already mentioned in this thread.

It's been my experience that they ship as items become available if you pay for shipping. But in my last three "free shipping" orders, they've also done this too.
