I was seeing if I could get "Save" to work (it did) but when I entered it this message popped up under the coupon box:

Coupon codes can only be used once per customer/family/address/e-mail address/account. Violation of this policy will result in the coupon being removed from your order.
I think I'll wait for my second order until I'm sure there's nothing else I want. This sucks though.

If it was, it isn't anymore. I had 4 items in my cart, two of them pre-orders for 11/11. The SAVE coupon only took off for the two in-stock items, not the pre-order items.

I made sure to order the Image release, so I'll be annoyed if they ship me a different one. Bought it because of your signature, btw!

24 hours and still have not heard back regarding the missing discount to my order, though.

When i read the instructions, Cashbaq said that you should get it by the time the order ships, or about a week. Am I the only one that read that?

I just tried to use '25OFFSALE' and 'SAVE' on an order comprised entirely of pre-orders. I received the same message, but the codes did not work.

What is the deal with pre-orders? Do you have to wait until the title 'streets' until ordering?

Try adding the title from a search results page or from your wish list...not from the item page. Worked for me for a title that comes Tuesday.

Sheer genius! Thanks so much. I had put all my titles in my Wishlist, and when I transferred them back to my Shopping Cart I noticed that the 'Pre-order' tag had disappeared from the listing. I imagine it is the 'Pre-order' tag that their code is filtering for when determining whether or not to allow the coupon to work.

Anyway, all the titles I ordered will 'street' during the sale anyway, so it wasn't like I was trying to abuse the system. But it was nice to fire off one order and be done with it.

Awesome, that works on anything that comes out before the end of the sale.

I'm gonna take it that DVD Planet is wrong about Fanboys coming to Blu-ray on the 18th.

Has anyone actually tried getting a code to work with Chungking Express Blu-ray (which comes out right after the sale supposedly ends)?

I tried and it didn't work. The only pre-orders that work are the ones that come out on the 11th and the 18th.

How cheap ass am I that this disturbes me? Oh well, still a sweet deal to me.
Is that true even after you factor in 8.25% CA sales tax - which you won't pay with DD, but will with DP? The sales tax penalty usually negates any pricing advantage for these sales. I assume you are located in in Pasadena and aren't shipping to an out of state address.

Anyone have any luck finding Thunderball on Blu-ray (or any format at all)? Seems like a strange omission.

Any similar work-arounds for pre-orders on DD?

I could only find it by clicking the Blu-ray tab then sorting by release date and looking in the timeframe that they were released. I have no clue why it isn't coming up when we search for it.

Hmm....neat trick. I wonder if I should preorder the Doctor Who series 4 set now from DVD planet or just wait for Deep Discount....it is a $5 difference...
