Envious here. My order was just under $300 and was mostly boxsets, so I guess that's why it wasn't upgraded.

Usually I don't make such big all-in-one orders, prefering to get more packages spread out over a longer time (the anticipation of getting the package is half the fun so why not spread that out?).
Family and friends think I'm nuts, but I love the whole process of waiting for a sale, placing the order, getting the shipping notice, tracking the order, the interminable wait, and then the delivery. Almost as good as sex

It's not out of print. Just order it, be patient, and after it arrives, pat yourself on the back for saving money.

I've noticed people with store credits before but not ANYWHERE near the number of folks in this year's thread (also some big dollar values in credits.)

What happened .... more returns?

My guess is that quite a few members have upgraded to Blu-ray, and are unloading their standard def DVDs now to fund BD purchases...

Bingo!

At least for me.

I traded in just about all of my DVDs I bought Blu-ray versions of, and even lots that have a Blu-ray version coming out of over the next few months.

I also buy cheap things for a buck or two along the way, knowing that I'll be able to send them to DVD Planet and get $5-$15 for em (well, before they lowered the prices that is).

There's no telling how little I've actually spent in this sale considering the way I do because I'm so cheap.

Same here, 25 of the 41 titles I ordered went up in price. If I had waited to place my order. It would of cost me another $50 in credit.

Dvd-Planet shipped out 38 of 41 Blu-ray titles UPS Ground on the 11th. Not scheduled to arrive at my location until the 18th. They shipped out one (Elf) of the three back-ordered titles today.

The Blu-Ray version with the T-Shirt does not show up as a pre-order on their site. However, there has already been one persons order that has been cancelled. Mine is still "open"/"processing" I'm highly doubtful it will go through, though.

Has anyone received their dvd planet order yet with problems? The problems I'm talking about are missing dvds. I have three missing dvds that are on the packaging slip shipped. I also have one dvd duplicated in my shipment.

My Planet order arrived correctly, but the DD one was a mess. They both shipped from the same place. They sent me 2 titles I didn't order, left out 1 I did, and 1 title had both discs loose in the case. Wonderful packing job.

Just got my first package from dvdplanet, along with my DD package. Everything was fine, except two dvds had loose discs. They are older titles; Maze OVA and Patlabor Collection 1, but they seem to be fine.

I'm going to order more from them soon!

So we are now officially certain that there are only two codes that work once each, right?

I don't think the word "official" should be used by any means.

I have used "25OFFSALE" twice and "SALE/SAVE" once (I can't remember which one). In general, I would assume you can only use each code once to be on the safe side.

I ordered a bunch of titles on the 12th. Nothing has shipped yet, even the in stock titles. My order from DD, also placed on the 12th, shipped on the 13th.

Seems to be a pattern - DeepDiscount shipping within one day, DVD Planet in 2-3 days - even if orders placed within an hour of each other. Has happened to me twice during the current sales.

At least you know it's nothing personal ....

YES! Thank you! You just saved me $$$.

My second order:

Sabrina (Centennial Collection Edition)
Alphaville (ancient Criterion)
A Fish Called Wanda (2D SE)

I already have the Centennial Collection Editions of Roman Holiday/Sunset Blvd., so this completes the set for me.
