Family Video....99 cent mystery DVD

Not sure if it is a deal or what you get but with the free ship code (FAMVID30), you can play the lottery with 5 DVD's for 4.95, not bad.

Can anyone comment on some mystery DVD's they ahve recieved?

Link to deal...https://www.familyvideo.com/catalog/...ucts_id=320410

Where do you get the # 5 from?

Torchur317 10-17-08 12:35 PM

I own too many DVDs to even try.... lol
I might consider it but I dunno if it's worth it....

leahcim 10-17-08 12:36 PM

I bought 5 of them, 1 for each of my kids and one for myself.

Got free shipping so I figured what the heck, better than throwing a few bucks at a can of Copenhagen.

Oh, you made it sound like the mystery DVD could be one of 5 different ones.

pinata242 10-17-08 12:39 PM

Is there any reason to think that you won't get the same dvd 5 times?

Groucho 10-17-08 12:42 PM

I'm hoping I get Sleuth or maybe one of the Thin Man movies!

Um, good luck with that. You get one movie out of thousands of possible titles. But hey, I suppose anything could happen. It's worth the buck just for the fun! It's like playing the lottery...

Groucho 10-17-08 12:54 PM

The Hound of Baskervilles is another one I don't have yet.

kenbenobi 10-17-08 12:56 PM

The coupon is only taking off 99 cents for me if you order only ONE title (shipping is $1.99). This happen to anyone else?

EDIT: I decided to order 5 of the mystery DVD's, so it didn't matter. But apparently you can't get just ONE title with free shipping.

mattysemo247 10-17-08 12:59 PM

It would be nice if one of the mystery DVD's was Journey Blu that the fuckers canceled

ruddiger_718 10-17-08 01:20 PM

I bit, I figured Chrismas is coming up, I need some cheap gifts for friends.

Nice.

Phibes 10-17-08 01:58 PM

Erm, the genre of the DVD is a mystery film or is the mystery that you don't know what you're getting?

joltman 10-17-08 01:58 PM

Wow, that is really tempting...

chris_sc77 10-17-08 02:15 PM

I ordered 5 for a total of $5.27 shipped. If I dont like them I'll just sell them at my local used DVD store and will probably get at least $10 or $15 in credit of something like that.
Lets get some Criterions!

starman9000 10-17-08 02:28 PM

I ordered one with some used titles.

Wouldn't it be funny if the brand new mystery DVD you get was the same as one of the used titles you ordered?

bang4dabuc 10-17-08 03:08 PM

Lol, I ordered 5 with the $5 coupon that I got for the Journey to the Center of the Earth Blu-ray fiasco. Just paid tax and shipping ($2.39).

Thanks OP.

I just did the same.

Hopefully it doesn't come up a Yahtzee. ;)

Strange- it says "limit one per household."

leahcim 10-17-08 05:33 PM

I guess they let the first few people load up then had to limit it.

It does not matter what I get, they look good in a stocking for 1.00 each

Said the MSRP would range from like 12.99-29.99 so only God knows what I will get, I am getting excited to see though.

Torchur317 10-17-08 05:39 PM

What the hell,I ordered 5 also....

Same here. I'm going to be seriously pissed if I get 5 Wiggles DVDs or something.
