This is strange. A few weeks ago, I placed an order with Family Video for about 6 titles. Included were the $5.99 Child's Play DVD and a used copy of No Country For Old Men. I received all my orders a week later except for NCFOM. I contacted Family Video last week to let them know and they indicated they would send out a replacement copy.

Yesterday I got 2 envelopes in the mail. One contained the copy of NCFOM. The other was another sealed Child's Play. Part of me wonders if that was a "Mystery DVD" (though I ordered 5).

I wonder if I ended up calling/e-mailing them, would they have record of what Mystery DVDs they sent out. Guess I'll wait to see if I get 4 or 5 more.

I have tried to cancel a few orders lately, and ALWAYS get a "sorry we cannot cancel this item" response. The one that really pissed me off was a pre-order that I made, requested a cancel more than a week before street date, and they still refused to refund my money. They don't even answer my emails asking them to explain. I'm done using them.

In addition, the following note appears on the page for the mystery DVD:

**** October 21 update: The Mystery DVD was a huge success and we are completely sold out. We'll try and do another one sometime soon -- we promise!

That's not good....
Just a warning to the people who are in the same boat as me for this....
Mine has been stuck at "In Fulfillment" for almost a week now....

Hmm, I place an order for 2 used dvds and 1 Mystery. The 2 used showed up today without a mention of the Mystery one on the invoice.

Mine still says 'in fulfillment' as well (adding to the "mystery" of the Child's Play DVD that showed up this week).

The problem with delaying these orders (and maybe cancelling them) is that they've already charged customers for them.

My order status says "In Fulfillment," but my shipping notification/order page says all have shipped. So I'd say the "In Fulfillment" status is not a problem.

I also just received the same e-mail...I ordered 7 in hopes that it would improve my odds that I would at least get 1 decent title, now that I have a 1 in 3 odds of getting something good I am not feeling so confident!

That's nice of them to kind of admit to their glitch or whatever of their website not limiting us to just one by sending us three.

I got the same notice today. I ordered 7 and will be getting 3 as well. It took the better part of a week last time before they refunded me for the cancelled Journey to the Center of the Earth Blu-ray for $9.99, so I expect it'll take every bit as long for this. Luckily it's only a few bucks and was a gamble anyway. I don't recall reading a limit per household anywhere on their site though, so I'd chalk that up as their fault and still think they should honor the orders placed to this point. I guess they're sorta comprimising though which is better than some sites would do.
