Good price - looks like the reviews are solid as well. I bought the Best of Heman (2-disc) off the $5 Wal-mart bin and enjoyed it. These sets have approx. 30 episodes each with a fair amount of extras. Very tempting...

Thanks for posting this, E-Z-B.

DAMN you E-Z-B! This wasn't even on my radar, but the whole series for $40......I'm conflicted. I loved the show when I was a kid, it would be fun and nostalgic to see it again, but am I going to watch 130 episodes? The torture of decisions!

Yeah they are all on sale AT the store too. I picked up the last 2 volumes of She-Ra to complete my collection. Now the spines have finished the picture!

And I guess I have the power now!

Thanks E-Z-B for passing the word. Completed both my He-Man and She-Ra collection and picked up the X-mas special as well. The kids will love you when they get older. I had already picked up the Best of series for He-Man and She-Ra at Ross for 5 bucks, so we are all happy campers. My BB claimed all their computers were off-line and they could not price verify (I normally just bring them an e-mail to spare the aggravation) so I walked them over to their computer department, had them stick an airport into the laptop and voila, magic internet, and they were able to price verify in the store.

Which brings up a point. Beware of idiot Best Buy managers who will accuse you of stealing from their store.

Are these sets ringing up at 9.99 in the stores? I bought these last week for 14.99 each in the store not online when they had their TV on DVD sale. I would like to get a refund on the price if they are 9.99 in store.

All the She-Ra sets rang up as $9.99 at my local BB. They were stickered as $29.99 each.

Keep in mind that She-Ra is a direct continuation of He-Man. He-Man starred in a number of She-Ra episodes. So your collection is "incomplete" if you don't also own the She-Ra sets.

Good point. I picked up a few seasons of She-Ra today as well. Also, at my Best Buy, the He-Man sets were stickered at $19.99. The She-Ra sets were stickered at $29.99.

Saw over on the Toon Zone forums (via a quick google search on this sale - http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=216145), that this sale will be good until 9/27, via some fans who also happened to be Best Buy employees.

Makes sense, since the sale just started yesterday, and it's not part of any weekly promotions... more like an all month thing to possibly clear out old stock just sitting there.

As for me, I'll grab He-Man Season 1 Vol 1 and She-Ra Season 1 Vol 1 for now, and if it truly goes until the end of the month, just pick up a few more each week - I don't need something like 100 episodes of He-Man all at once.

Take this with a tiny grain of salt, but at least it's some kind of end date. However, I just noticed Best Buy also has other tv box sets on sale, like Family Ties, until 9/27 according to other posts in this forum, so it seems to be a universal end date so it may very well be true.

I also saw that some cartoon called Bravestarr is a part of this sale? It's also $9.99 on the website, but I've never heard of it, and I was a child of the 80's.

ARGHH... I wish I hadn't seen this!!!

Just kidding! Too tempting to pass up.

I have all 7 boxsets sitting in my cart with a shipped total of $89.73 with tax. Only three were available for in-store pick-up and BB is 30 miles away, so it makes more sense just to have it all shipped. $12.82 a set is still a fantastic deal. Has their packaging improved any? In the past when I ordered something and had it shipped, it arrived damaged more than half the time. And regardless of what their site says about being able to exchange defective merchandise at a B&M store, it's a major hassle to get them to comply with their own policy.

Interesting comments from "BCI Guy". They pretty much mirror what I've suspected about the format and been seeing in the stores in this area (except for WM who appears to have devoted a full 25% of DVD shelf space to Blu-Ray).

Not so fast... "Bravestar", like "He-Man", was syndicated *and* had a very short run (September 1987 to February 1988) so he very well may never have heard of it. To the best of my knowlege, "Bravestar" never aired on any stations I got at the time. If it did, it was opposite "He-Man" or "She-Ra" so no one saw it unless they were bored with one of those and took the time to change the chanel.
